It was a busy weekend for Pop star Kelly Rowland. The Destiny’s Child alumni gave the live first performance of brand new single ‘Commander’ at Mansions in Miami on Saturday. Next on the Grammy winner’s agenda was the launch of her new charity ‘I Heart My Girlfriends’ at Miami Beach yesterday (March 28th). Rowland’s celebrity pals Serena Williams, LaLa Vasquez, and Kim Kardashian came out to support the singer.
Peep Ciara‘s new interview for ‘Adidas Originals’, which was shot during a recent stay here in London town. As previously reported, the ‘Love Sex Magic’ singer is fronting the sports-giant’s worldwide campaign for their successful ‘Originals’ range. More power to her…
Tidbit: Word has it new Ciara material is not far off from release.
Check out our girl Kelly Rowland at Mansions in Miami last night, for the ‘F*ck Me, I’m Famous event’ (which formed part of the Winter Music Conference). The singer was snapped backstage, in this daring ensemble, prior to debuting her brand new single ‘Commander’ live on stage.
While footage of the performance, which by all accounts was hot fire, should become available soon, Kelly shared a few tidbits with fans in an exclusive Ustream video chat just before she rocked the stage. Included were the fact that noted choreographer Fatima Robinson (Aaliyah, Black Eyed Peas) is her new choreographer and that it was Robinson who conjured up the (quote-on-quote) ‘sick’ routine for ‘Commander’. What’s more, select directors have been sent the song to come up with the videos concept, and perhaps most randomly, it took Rowland 30 minutes to don the pictured outfit!
R&B star Fantasia Barrino opened up WWE’s Wrestlemania 26 with a special performance of ‘America The Beautiful’. Check out her performance from the event, which itself istaking place right now at Arizona’s University of Phoenix Stadium, above…{performance starts at the 0.52second mark}
A little over-sung in places, however a powerful rendition all the same. As ever, Fantasia delivered!
Randomness: I’m a big WWE fan! HBK v Undertaker is going to be a classic…I can feel it (Michaels for the win)!
R&B singer Mya attended the Rock Media Fashion Week this weekend. The dancer posed for this pics at Eden Roc Renaissance Resort on Miami Beach, Florida. Check out more pics below:
Leona Lewis was spotted in Hollywood last evening. The singer attended Perez Hilton’s 32nd birthday party at Paramount Studios where she performed her smash hit ‘Bleeding Love’.
‘The performance that shocked the world’ is no doubt how many will remember Madonna, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera‘s showing at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, this week’s classic From The Vault video. Featuring the now-infamous ‘kiss’, this medley of ‘Like A Virgin’, ‘Hollywood’, and the Missy-Elliott assisted ‘Work It’ certainly goes down in history as of music television’s most risqué moments. However, after re-watching this 7 years later, I can’t decide whether it was actually any good or just great car-crash television?!
Like most, it was awesome seeing such a celebrated artist like Madonna grace the stage with former chart-rivals Britney and Christina. However, judging by the amount of shade thrown in the audience (Mary J, 50 Cent & Eminem, Snoop…spot anymore?!) it seemed more laughable than anything else LOL. Judge for yourself, check out the vid above…
Randomness: Christina’s vocals were on fire! Britney’s had a great backing track…. 😉
Rihanna hit the stage at the 2010 ‘Kids Choice Awards’ just moments ago. The self-proclaimed role model for young girls performed a medley of her biggest hits including ‘Hard’, ‘Rude Boy’ and ‘Please Don’t Stop The Music’. Check out the performances below:
