Long before they were blazing the Superbowl stage, Destiny’s Child were once the talk of the town when they performed during the NBA All-Star Game.
From The Vault journeys back to that glorious day of February 2005.
A few months removed from releasing their farewell album ‘Destiny Fulfilled’, and its first single ‘Lose My Breath,’ Michelle, Kelly, and Beyonce were enjoying a rather successful comeback after focusing on solo projects.
Hot on the promo trail, they hit the All-Star Game stage to perform the aforementioned single alongside its follow-up ‘Soldier’ – both peaked at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
It is with style, attitude, and showmanship aplenty that the trio managed to get the audience in the palm of their hands.

Oh, what we would give for a Destiny’s Child reunion, of any sort.
As evidenced by the fire that occurs every time they link up, whether on stage or on a song, it’s very clear that the magic is still there.
It is also worth noting that there hasn’t been a female band that was able to reach the critical, cultural as well as chart heights our favorite girls enjoyed during their time as a unit.
Ladies, it’s time to give the people what they want!
