Ever keen on keeping the masses abreast of fresh and/or often underrated talent, That Grape Juice presents ‘The Spill’ – a renewed look at not-so-new, yet active, acts.

Much like its ‘Freshly Squeezed’ sister segment, this revived assay aims to put the magnifying glass on talents who may not appeal to the buying public on a broad scale yet are still serving material that could easily spin side-by-side with some of today’s top hits.

Covering a kaleidoscope of genres, ‘The Spill’ is set to feature some names you probably know and love as well as some you’ll (soon) be glad to know.  Click below to find out the spill on crooners Mario, Jaheim, and much more…

Enlisting Hip Hop’s best and brightest to aid him, it’s abundantly clear ‘Hot In Herre’ hitmaker Nelly is playing approximately no games when it comes to his comeback album ‘M.O.’.

Calling on the likes of Trey Songz, T.I., Wiz Khalifa, and Nelly Furtado to name a few, the album’s newest offering sees assistance from rapstress Nicki Minaj and superproducer Pharrell.

Titled ‘Get Like Me’, the track comes as co-star Nicki Minaj’s latest entry on an already extensive collabo resume (see:  Ciara, Mario, Wale).  Is this the best of the bunch?  You tell us below:

With American Idol wrapped, it’s back to business for Nicki Minaj.

The Young Money madam joins R&B crooner Mario as a guest on his comeback single ‘Somebody Else’ – which hit the net last month.

As the old age adage goes, time waits for no one. Hence, in a bid to give the track an added push, the pair came together to shoot its accompanying video.

With Kelly Rowland ‘Motivation’ sitting pretty at #1 on the Billboard R&B/Hip Chart for a 2nd week, no time seems more apt than the present to release the song’s official remix.

And what a remix it is; Rowland enlists an all-star Urban cast for the latest incarnation of the track; which features R&B crooner Trey Songz, Busta Rhymes, and Fabolous.

The likes of Da Brat, Jerimih, Mario and R. Kelly have served up unofficial takes on the track, which begs the question of whether the official mix is better? You be the judge after the jump…

As sexually charged singer Trey Songz readies his fourth studio album,  ‘Passion, Pain, & Pleasure’, for release on September 14th, a new cut from the LP has surfaced. Titled, ‘Love Faces’, the song sees the 25 year old singing once again about sex.

Jamie Foxx has been busy in the studio preparing his next studio release. One of the songs that the R&B crooner has prepared is the club-ready ‘Straight To The Dancefloor’ which features the inescapable Lil Wayne. The track was reportedly produced by Los Da Mystro and written by Rico Love, who recently revealed to That Grape Juice hat he indeed worked with Foxx on the new LP. Foxx’s new album hits stores in early 2010.

This song is definitely not ‘the business’. With the thick production and the audio effects on Foxx’s voice, it sounds closer to something that Omarion would have released. Additionally, the lyrics “I got my hands on my nuts and a bottle up in the air” are certainly not what any sensible DJ would consider radio friendly. Hopefully this track is merely an experiment because of all the trends that I am sure most would enjoy seeing left in the 00’s, auto-tune tops the list.

Sean Garrett - 'Grippin' On The Bed' (ft. Ludacris) ‘Smash on the radio bet I penned it!’. Indeed, the bold claim made by singer/songwriter Sean Garrett holds pretty much true. Having written hits for the likes of Destiny’s Child (solo efforts too), Mary J, Chris Brown, Britney Spears and a host of others, Garrett is now making the transition to an artist in his own right.
‘Grippin’ On The Bed’ (ft. Ludacris) is said to be the first single from his as-yet-untitled debut. About the track, I’m really feeling the production, arrangements and whatnot, but I’m not sure if I’m liking his voice or not. The man can definitely sing, yet his voice is very nasal sounding (see: Omarion, Chris Brown). Still, this track has me anticipating more of what he has to offer. It’ll be interesting to see if he can succeed where many other ‘behind-the-scenes’ composers turned artists have failed.

Following the poor reception Ashanti’s recent single ‘Switch’ received, the singer and her label went back to the drawing board. It’s now been confirmed that this new track, ‘Hey Baby (After The Club)’, will serve as the official first single from her forthcoming album ‘The Declaration’. It was reported a while back that Ashanti hit the studio with Diddy and Mario Winans and this must be end result as the beat is lifted straight from Diddy’s ‘Last Night’. Though the track is good, it’s still a long way off what she should be putting out if she’s hoping for a successful ‘comeback’. A tidbit: Is she really releasing another song with ‘Baby’ in it lol?
