As the critical acclaim for Babyface‘s latest album, the October 21-released ‘Girls Night Out,’ continues to roll in, the legendary singer-songwriter is giving the ladies even more of a reason to cop the new set by unveiling the stunning music video for its housed tune, ‘Simple.’

Featuring Coco Jones, the Sara Lacombe-directed clip sees the two trade verses about lovers on the rocks who are reflecting on better days.

“Remember back when we had nothin’ in between / Before we had these issues, it’s nothin’ like it used to (Nothin’ like it used to) / They way it used to be when love was so easy / I know it’s sentimental (Yeah) / I wish it was that simple (Yeah), simple,” Jones croons on the chorus.

While ‘Midnights,’ the latest album from Taylor Swift, is enjoying a very much expected domination of the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200, few could have foreseen the extent of its carnage.

On the Billboard 200 front, ‘Midnights’ entered the chart at #1 with a whopping 1.5 million units sold – a feat accomplished by record-breaking vinyl sales and streams (as we reported here).

And while its lengthy list of wins on that chart are mirrored by those on the Hot 100, there are a few standouts on the latter tally – namely the number of legendary acts she leaves in her rearview in the wake of the LP’s success.

Katy Perry is no stranger to dominating Pop charts over her lengthy career with top-selling hits like ‘Firework,’ ‘Roar,’ and ‘Dark Horse,’ but earlier this year the diva saddled up to trot into unfamiliar terrain: Country.

Teaming with the ‘Prince of Country Music’ Thomas Rhett for his sixth studio album, the April 1-released ‘Where We Started,‘ Perry lent her unmistakable vocals to the LP’s title track – helping to push it to top 40 status on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart (#33 peak as of time reported).

In an effort to hoist it to even higher heights on the tally, the unexpected duo imparted a behind the scenes look at the tune’s touching accompanying music video.
