Award show season in full swing, and you can expect the year’s best and biggest in entertainment to be gearing up to grace the stages of annual staples to perform or accept some of the industry’s most coveted trophies.

The latest to unveil its highly anticipated list of nominees is the E! People’s Choice Awards.

Hosted by Simu Liu, the year’s list of leading musical nominees includes Bad Bunny, Drake, Beyonce, Dua Lipa, Miley Cyrus, and Taylor Swift.

They aren’t the only big names in the vying for the night’s prized statuettes, however.

Jung Kook may have danced his way to the top of charts with the Latto-assisted ‘Seven‘ and the Jack Harlow-assisted ‘3D,’ but now he’s looking to do the same with the Usher-assisted remix to ‘Standing Next To You.’

With its original incarnation found aboard his history-making debut album ‘Golden‘, the former BTS star captured the third top 10 hit of his career (a solo act) when ‘Standing’ premiered and peaked at #5 on the Hot 100.

Eventually pushed off the all-genre chart entirely, the Andrew Watt-penned bop enjoyed a rebound on the most recent edition of the all-genre chart thanks to the December 1-released remix featuring Usher.

Now, the R&B vet has teamed with the K-Pop superstar for the unveiling of the revamped tune’s official music video.

With ‘The Color Purple’ rapidly drawing near to its Christmas Day (December 25) release, the cast of the hotly anticipated musical movie is leaving no stone unturned in their promotional push.

Their latest stop is the cover of The Hollywood Reporter. 

Fantasia Barrino, Taraji P. Henson, and Danielle Brooks are joined by the film’s producer Oprah Winfrey in the feature and collectively the quad style and profile.

The spread arrives just one day after Barrino and Brooks nabbed Golden Globe nominations for their performances in the Blitz Bazawule-directed flick – which also stars Halle Bailey, Colman Domingo, Corey Hawkins, Ciara, H.E.R. and Aunjanue Ellis.

In tandem with the THR spotlight is a titillating new trailer for ‘The Color Purple.’

As his debut solo album, ‘Golden,’ presses toward a Gold certification at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), former BTS star Jung Kook is hoping to expedite that journey by unveiling the official music video for the LP’s housed ballad ‘I Hate You.’

The emotional clip not only showcases stunning cinematography during its shifts from a melancholic black-and-white scheme to vibrant bursts of color, but also shows off the 26-year-old’s impressive acting chops.

“I’m gonna hate you / Paint you like the villain that you never were / I’m gonna blame you / For things that you don’t do / Hating you’s the only way it doesn’t hurt,” he croons on the Shawn Mendes and Scott Harris-penned track.
