25 years after Mariah Carey first topped the Billboard 200 with her fifth traditional studio album, 1997’s ‘Butterfly,’ the timeless turning point project – which has become a symbol synonymous with the music icon – is being reissued via an expanded edition.
Announced earlier this week (as reported here), Carey unveiled news of the anniversary offering by referring to the original opus as her “favorite” and “most personal album” yet.
Boasting eight new bonus tracks from the era, the 20-song set’s arrival is also accompanied by 4K versions of music videos for housed singles ‘The Roof’ and lead single ‘Honey.’ What’s more, the latter tune also has a ‘making of’ documentary attached to its upgrade.
As if that’s not enough, new ‘Butterfly’ merchandise is available alongside updated vinyl and cassette-tape versions of the repackaged LP.
