In quite the apt pairing, Ciara was snapped cooking up new material with The Underdogs.

The criminally underrated ‘Ride’ singer has tapped with the pair (Harvey Mason Jr and Damon Thomas) to craft hits for her eagerly awaited Epic Records debut.

Insanely versatile, the duo are renown for their creamy R&B mid-tempos, yet can and will crank up the tempo – as evidenced by Chris Brown‘s ‘Turn Up The Music’ – which they produced.

With Ms. Marris having logged in time with Soundz, Hitboy, Bangladesh, and now the ‘Dogs, it seems no expense is being spared in ensuring her “comeback” is a smash. We wait and we pray.

Last year, Epic executive LA Reid set Twitter alight when he confirmed Ciara had signed to his newly acquired label.

Now, after the deal scored her a role in Adam Sandler‘s ‘That’s My Boy‘ but before she releases her first album it, Harris was spotted on the way to a salon sporting an ‘Epic‘ tee, in an open display of support for the group.

‘1, 2 Step’ singer Ciara stepped out today to attend a media field day hosted in Indianapolis.  As football fans prep for the Superbowl showdown between the New York Giants and New England Patriots, apparent Patriot fan Cici hit the field to do a little corresponding of her own on behalf of Entertainment Tonight.

Cici’s sidegig comes shortly after news of her Epic moves in music and film.  The first being a role on the the Adam Sandler led film ‘Donny’s Boy’, hitting theaters June 15 .

After a difficult few years, R&B star Ciara seems poised to make one of Urban music’s biggest comebacks.

With the ink still wet on her new deal with Epic Records, the 26 year old and label head LA Reid are wasting no time piecing together her 5th studio album.

And by the sounds of she’s working with, the ‘Promise’ singer looks set to serve up a double dose of retro and fresh.

‘1, 2 Step’ singer Ciara was spotted stepping out of a nail salon yesterday in L.A.  Reportedly preparing material for her next LP, via new recording home Epic Records, the Atlantan’s 2012 is already gearing up to be a busy one.

Many be most anxious for the follow-up to 2010’s serially mishandled ‘Basic Instinct’, but they will first get to see her make her big screen debut in the Adam Sandler-led comedy ‘Donny’s Boy’ (June 15).  News of Cici’s involvement with the film was first broken last summer amidst rumors of her (now confirmed) record label change.

Fans may remember her first cinematic venture, ‘Mama I Want To Sing’ (Patti Labelle, Lynn Whitfield).  Despite combatting leaks and some mishandling of its own, followers of the ‘Ride’ diva will be pleased to know it will arrive on DVD shelves Valentine’s Day 2012.

Much to the delight of many an eager paparazzo, the stars were out in full force on Friday night for the Vanity Fair & Fisker Automotive Toast Dreamworks Pictures Golden Globes Best Drama Nominations event.

In attendance, alongside Cee Lo Green and Viola Davis  was ‘Work’ singer Ciara, who recently recovered from an injury to her foot which left her confined to a wheelchair and who is readying the release of fifth studio album under the supervision of creative master mind LA Reid.

In case you didn’t know, ‘Never Ever‘, the oft celebrated 2009 cut jam by Pop belle Ciara was co written by fellow ATL-er  Keri Hilson.

Indeed, while this remains one of Pop’s best keep secrets, today saw the surfacing of Hilson’s very own take on the track which is reported to be the demo Harris used as the blueprint for the song’s final cut.
