Doja Cat‘s third album, ‘Planet Her,’ shows no signs of slowing its orbit around the Billboard 200’s top 10.

Released in June 2021, the hit-filled project peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 (her highest mark on the album chart to date) and has been a mainstay among its best-sellers since.  Found at #9 on its refreshed edition, 27 of the LP’s 32 weeks aboard the tally have been in the top 10 – a feat that now makes it the longest-running top 10 female Rap LP in history.

That victory is due in no small part to the ongoing success of its singles, including the December 2021-released ‘Woman.’  Appearing at first to be a slow-starter, the song has rocketed into the Billboard Hot 100’s top 40 for the first time this week after a warm reception at radio.

Planted at #37, look inside to see who joins her on this week’s TGJ Chart Check: Hot 100.

Jennifer Lopez is leaving no stone unturned in promotion of her latest film, ‘Marry Me,’ which premiered in theaters and the streaming service Peacock on February 11.

To herald the movie’s release, the triple threat diva’s fans (affectionately called #JLovers) were introduced to its 13-track official soundtrack – billing she shared with global superstar Maluma.

Nearly a week after the Latin duo took to ‘The Tonight Show’ to give viewers a live taste of the musical project’s title track (as we reported here), they repeated the feat via an exclusive Peacock concert event.

Titled ‘Marry Me Tonight! Jennifer Lopez & Maluma Live,’ the showing was recorded live at the Dolby Family Terrace at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles and was directed by 14-time Emmy award winner Glenn Weiss.

With momentum mounting in anticipation of what will be a historic assembly of Hip Hop & R&B heavyweights at this Sunday’s Super Bowl Halftime show, the headliners – Mary J. Blige, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, Snoop Dogg, and Dr. Dre – are hitting the promo rounds to ensure all eyes are glued to TVs during the February 13 event.

As has become standard fare over the years, the billed performers hosted a press conference in the days leading to the spectacle to dish on what can be expected from their sets, surprises, and much more.

While Dre promised surprises (including what many speculate will be a hologram of late Hip Hop legend Tupac), the 56-year-old rapper-producer also jokingly made a few other promises that were perceived as a diss to the most talked about Super Bowl Halftime show in history.

Ahead of Mary J. Blige‘s co-headlining slot at Sunday’s Super Bowl Halftime Show (February 13), the Queen of Hip Hop Soul has already scored a touchdown with critics thanks to the February 11 release of her 15th studio album, ‘Good Morning Gorgeous.’

The glowing reviews of the 13-track set come in no small part to the positive reception of its first three singles – ‘Amazing’ (featuring DJ Khaled), its title track, and the Dave East-assisted ‘Rent Money.’

Related to the latter, Blige tapped famed video director Eif Rivera to bring the tune’s lyrics about the risk attached to romance to life in a dazzling casino-inspired music video.

Dropped the same day as its parent project, will the clip be just what’s needed to help the song win big on the charts?  Look inside to watch and let us know:

The Super Bowl Halftime Show may be the grandest stage of them all, but it doesn’t cut the biggest check of them all.

In fact, it’s now widely more publicly known that performing on the platform does not come with monetary benefits.

This topic was put to Mary J. Blige, during the promotional run for her album and her own shared Halftime performance alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Kendrick Lamar this Sunday (Feb 13) at the SoFi Stadium.
