Will the third time be the charm for Justin Timberlake‘s (seemingly) ill-fated new album, ‘Man of the Woods’?  If the response to the set’s tertiary single, ‘Say Something’ (featuring Chris Stapleton) is any indication, the answer is a resounding “yes”!

As fans know, the first two releases from ‘Man of the Woods’ – the funky/futuristic ‘Filthy’ & country/hip-hop-hinged ‘Supplies’ – have been mainstays in the top 20 on digital sales charts since their respective releases, but they were both blocked from topping the tally by the likes of Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars (as we reported here), Camila Cabello, and more.

Fast forward three weeks later to the anthemic ‘Say Something’ and it appears JT is en route to the hit he’s been waiting for.  Just a day after its video’s premiere, ‘Something’ has not only topped the iTunes charts (a feat its predecessors couldn’t boast), but has already amassed over 4 million views on Youtube.  To put that into perspective, ‘Supplies’ – which premiered on January 18 – has only garnered 11 million views (as of time reported).

January 2017 saw OWN order an additional 44 episodes of its flagship series, Tyler Perry‘s ‘The Haves & the Have Nots,’ and we see why.  The soap’s enduring popularity, even a year later as evidenced by its season 5 premiere (Jan. 9, 2018), is proof that fans can’t get enough of the antics of Candace, Jim, Veronica, and the gang.

Coming in as the night’s most watched scripted program overall, tuck in below to see just how many people tuned in for the return of #HAHN:

In news that should come as no surprise, Eminem & Beyonce‘s surprise collaboration – ‘Walk On Water’ – is making quite the splash on the Hot 100.

Debuting at #14 on this week’s Hot 100, the song’s top 20 arrival came on the wings of handsome streaming and download figures (18.3 million U.S. streams and 64,000 first-week downloads respectively).  That number may very well increase next week thanks to some solid promo on both sides of the pond from ‘Water’s leading act.

The premiere on the Hot 100 not only made it the highest debut of the week (ahead of its highly anticipated music video), but also gave both Em and the Queen Bey a very unique placement alongside another music royal:  Queen of Pop Madonna.  Get the detail below:

2017 just keeps looking better and better for Kendrick Lamar.

The Grammy-winning rap star laid claim to the year’s biggest hit (streaming and sales) for a solo artist with his chart-topping hit, ‘Humble,’ while its parent album – ‘Damn’ – topped album charts upon its arrival and is now eligible for triple platinum certification in the U.S.

These wins and many more helped make the hip hop hitmaker a shoo-in for the cover of ‘Forbes’ magazine’s annual prestigious ’30 Under 30′ issue. Lamar, 30, was one of 600 lucky enough to make the highly competitive list (which boasts over 15,000 annual submissions) and rightfully so if you ask us.  According to the money mag:

He’s earned $78.5 million over the past five years, including a career-best $30 million this year, and inked a new Nike deal this summer.

In the music business, Lamar has grown into a force. He has earned two visits to the White House and grosses more than $1 million a night on the road and even more for big festivals like Coachella…

K.Dot isn’t the only hip hop star making money moves, however.  As she proclaimed in her chart-topping hit, ‘Bodak Yellow,’ rising rapstress Cardi B – thanks to the song’s out-of-the-box success – saw her name printed on the list.

Tuck in below to see what other music stars joined them:

Kendrick Lamar has had a hell of a year.

When seeing his latest album, ‘Damn,’ top the Billboard 200 with some of the year’s highest first week sales, the rapper is cranking out jaw-dropping videos (and live performances to match), collecting awards across the industry, and so much more.  As if that’s not enough, the year also granted his first #1 on the Hot 100 as a leading act thanks to ‘Humble’ (second overall in his career to his feature on Taylor Swift‘s ‘Bad Blood’).

The Mike Will Made It produced cut, which debuted on charts in April, not only topped the tally but spent its first 15 weeks in the top 10 before beginning its descent in August.  In fact, some 7 months later ‘Humble’ remains in the top 40 (as this week’s refreshed Hot 100 reveals).

The success of the tune has also helped it to a place in history books thanks to refreshed reports of sales data.  Just three months after being certified double platinum by the RIAA for its digital sales and streaming performance, this week brought with it news the chart-topping hit has become the first rap song of 2017 to exceed 1 million in pure sales.  Add to this, with streaming factored in, the song is now eligible for triple platinum status!

As we extend a hearty congratz to the rapper, tuck in below to see who joins him in the top 40 on this week’s refreshed “Chart Check”:

Tyrese has long had a knack for sewing his words together well. However, the singing actor is coming apart at the seams.

Currently in the midst of custody battle with his ex Norma Gibson over their 10-year-old daughter Shayla, the pressure is clearly getting to the star.

In an odd set of moves, he took to social media to vent in a video about how the court case (which also includes a restraining order petition) is wearing him down. He says he has not seen his child in two months and that his pleas to do so aren’t being seen by the public because documents pertaining to the case are sealed.

He also adds that he is receiving no support from his millionaire and billionaire buddies.

The latter may seem random, but it’s not. For, Tyrese took to Instagram to declare in a long rant that the legal costs have left him “almost broke.”

That then served as a segue-way for him to re-heat his beef with ‘Fast & Furious’ co-star Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

He’s still angry at the megatsr for proceeding with a ‘Fast’ spin-off project and somehow blames Rocky for impairing his own ability to earn by doing so. Bizarre.

All awaits after the jump…

Cop an actual gander of Rihanna!

The star taps into her model-esque qualities on the latest cover of Vogue Arabia.

Set to hit newsstands on November 1st, the Greg Kadel lensed feature arrives during wildly successful window for the 29-year-old.

As reported, her Fenty Beauty make-up line is flying off shelves (to the tune of $72 million in its first month), her FENTYxPuma venture is flourishing, and she’s still scoring chart wins during her musical hiatus.

Not bad RiRi, not bad.

Welcome back to TGJ Replay!

Designed much like our ‘Retro Rewind’ and ‘From the Vault’ features, ‘Replay’ is That Grape Juice‘s newest reflective segment to act as a written quest to re-spin the gems and jams of yesterday. Unlike its TGJ retrospective predecessors, ‘Replay’ looks to dust off and showcase entire albums (and eras) from a library of pop and Urban pop music hits.

In honor of its 15th birthday (October 26), this week we’ll press play on Christina Aguilera‘s magnum opus:  ‘Stripped’…

‘Havana’ is proving itself to be the hit former Fifth Harmony beauty Camila Cabello‘s been praying for.

After a slow start to her solo career with the ill-received promotional single, ‘Crying in the Club,’ Cabello is crying tears of joy after a slew of live performances helped hoist ‘Havana’ – the first official cut from her debut solo album, ‘The Hurting. The Healing. The Loving.’ – to the top 20 (which it cracked this week).

Now, thanks to the long-awaited unveiling of its accompanying music video, the song has shot into the top 5 on iTunes charts.  Details inside:
