Chatting it up with ET Canada recently in promotion of her forthcoming film, Tyler Perry‘s ‘Mea Culpa,’ as well as her brand partnership with SC Johnson’s FamilyGuard to bring awareness to “National Yes, Play!” Day, the 42-year-old discussed those ventures while also fielding questions about Beyonce‘s ‘Renaissance Tour,’ Destiny’s Child, and more.

When quizzed about her solo musical ventures, Rowland quickly shut down the idea anything is coming soon but went on to clarify new tunes are still on her radar.

That changed recently, however, when Rowland had to put an interviewer in check for saying she plays “second fiddle” to Beyonce – a notion that many (including Kelly) felt undermines the groundbreaking achievements she’s made in her own career.
