Kelly Price has had enough!

News about the R&B diva’s whereabouts have dominated headlines over the weekend after she was found listed on the National Crime Information Center’s site as a missing person.

The posting – which came as the result of her children contacting law enforcement authorities to conduct a check to investigate her wellness – was later slammed by the singer’s attorney, Monica Ewing, as incorrect when she took to press to indicate Price was safe, recovering from COVID-19 from an undisclosed location, and would make an official statement later.

Ewing’s announcement was disregarded by Kelly’s sister, Shanrae Price, who hit back with statements that she wouldn’t believe the ‘Friend of Mine’ performer was safe until she ‘physically saw her’ (and even suggested the two never go lengthy periods without speaking).

Now, Kelly is opening up to silence the chatter.  Hop inside to hear her tearful response to the hoopla.

Kelly Price is safe and well, according to her friend – Brownstone singer Nicci Gilbert.

As reported, Price was declared a missing person in Georgia after relatives claimed they hadn’t heard from her for several weeks and were worried as she was prematurely discharged from the hospital where she was recovering from COVID-19.

In the time since, confusion has been plentiful as the chaos played out publicly.

For, while a rep for Price issued a statement saying she was not missing and was fine, her sister has insisted that refuses to believe the claim until she “physically sees her.”

Adding to the melee are apparent issues between members of her family and her partner, who they reportedly argue is restricting access to the songbird’s home.

Now, Gilbert has offered an update.

As hotly anticipated shows go, few in recent memory can rival the buzz surrounding the new STARZ series ‘BMF’ (Black Mafia Family).

Produced by Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson, the high-octane show is inspired by the true story of two brothers (Big Meech and  Southwest T) who ascended from the rough streets of southwest Detroit in the late 1980s and morphed into one of the most influential crime families in the United States.

Toni Braxton has one of music’s most iconic voices. So while it didn’t bode well for the length of her stay on the latest season of ‘The Masked Singer,’ it did make for a memorable stint.

With Britney Spears‘ story once again at the center of the spotlight, From The Vault is back this week to salute the Pop Princess for the very thing that thrust her to the highest heights of superstardom: her music.

Today’s pick is 2008’s ‘Womanizer.’

After a troubled 2007 – which saw the entertainer go through a very public breakdown while ironically dropping her most acclaimed record to date – Team Britney decided to go back to basics with the singer’s subsequent release, ‘Circus’.

Its first single ‘Womanizer’ – written by The Outsyders – was an energetic number that got the job done in earnest. Hitting #1 in numerous countries, including the US, the UK, France, and Sweden, it reached the Top 10 in every country it charted it. Call it a comeback!

The cut was well-received by the critics and was nominated for a GRAMMY in 2009.

Joseph Kahn was tapped to helm the song’s visual; apt as he was also the director of Spears’ iconic ‘Toxic’ and ‘Stronger’ videos.

The high-octane affair finds Brit transforming as she follows her boyfriend going about his day.

While lacking the all-out choreography that had her previous work, the video was clearly a return to form for the Pop star, and was nominated in the Video Of The Year category at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.

**********

With the entertainer seemingly on the verge of emancipation from the conservatorship saga, we hope that someday soon she can return to the scene, on her own terms.

Say what you will about Ms. Spears but she can deliver a bop, as well as an epic performance – when she wants to.

Here’s hoping there are more stage blazing days ahead.
