Stefflon Don has unlocked her brand-new single ‘The One.’

Following on from the Spice-assisted ‘Clockwork,’ the melodic track finds the star addressing a lover about uncertainties and external influences.

‘The One’ serves as the latest taste of the multihyphenate performer’s incoming (and long-awaited) debut album ‘Island 54’ (due in 2023).

Both the track and accompanying LP are being released as part of Stefflon Don’s freshly minted pact with BMG – which has partnered with her label 54 London.

Stormzy has unlocked ‘Firebabe’ – the latest single from his forthcoming album ‘This Is What I Mean.’

The British Rap royal premiered the track alongside its accompanying music video, which was directed by  Edem Wornoo.

Piercing and potent, ‘Firebabe’ – which follows lead single ‘Hide & Seek’ – finds the MC bearing his emotions in earnest.

Speaking on the song (which was produced by George Moore and features additional vocals by Stormzy’s 0207 Def Jam labelmate Debbie, Sampha, and Jacob Collier), the star said:

“Debbie, George [Moore] and I got in the studio together and it was the most beautiful moment. It was a session I’ll never forget, for the rest of my life. It was extremely special and everyone in the room understood that. We were making something that hopefully, God willing, lives forever. Something that has soul and feeling and it came from a really pure place. We took a truth and made some art from it.”

Christmas is coming early for fans of Alicia Keys thanks to the unwrapping of her first holiday album, ‘Santa Baby.’

The 11-track effort, an Apple Music exclusive, comes as the first release on her independent label, Alicia Keys Records, and is filled with her takes on seasonal favorites like ‘Christmas Time is Here,’ ‘The Christmas Song (Chestnuts),’ and more. Further, it even introduces original yuletide-flavored songs.

Among the latter is ‘December Back 2 June,’ a groovy Christmas cut about keeping a love sizzling from winter to summer.

It’s been nearly 6 years since Chrisette Michele experienced a seismic backlash for singing at the inauguration of former U.S. president Donald Trump, but the R&B diva continues to grapple with the effects of the fall from grace.

The boycott launched against her at the time saw her music streams and sales steeply drop, which led to difficulty filling concert venues on tour and eventually saw her dropped from her record label.  As if the professional woes weren’t doing enough damage, she later revealed the impact the downfall played in the dissolution of her marriage to Doug “Biggs” Ellison.

Because action on the latter is ongoing, the Grammy-winning singer took to Instagram to describe how the process has taken an emotional toll despite her best efforts to soldier on.

Nearly 7 years after earning his latest top 5 album on R&B charts, legendary singer-songwriter Babyface is aiming for a redo with his latest LP, ‘Girls Night Out.’

Released October 21, the project comes as his first under label home Capitol Records and was preceded to digital shelves by the #1 R&B hit ‘Keeps On Fallin’ with Ella Mai as well as the Kehlani-assisted ‘Seamless,’ the Queen Naija-assisted ‘Game Over,’ and the Baby Tate-enlisted ‘Don’t Even Think About It’ (as reported here).

Other notable names on the 13-track effort include Ari Lennox, Doechii, Sevyn Streeter, Muni Long, and others.

“Rather than just writing the songs, I collaborated with other producers and the artists themselves in terms of writing. It gave it a different experience and flavor, which allowed each artist to have their own thing. ‘Girls Night Out’ is really more about them than it is about me,” he said in a recent interview about the highly collaborative effort. “They’re very independent and have a good idea of who they are, and what they should say…If I’m pushing myself onto it, I don’t get them at all.”
