New Song: Michelle Williams – ‘Stop This Car’ (Snippet)

Published: Monday 10th Dec 2007 by Sam
A teaser snippet of former Destiny’s Child member Michelle Williams’ new material has surfaced. Though it’s uncertain whether the track, ‘Stop This Car’, will be the lead single from her as-yet-untitled album, it is believed that the song will feature on the singer’s LP – her first non-Gospel solo venture. About the track, I’m really like it and feel the production and vocal arrangement compliments her alternate sound. It kinda has me psyched for what the often underrated ‘Do You Know’ vocalist has in store on this album.

Hit or Miss?

the song is ok but it doesnt rival anything beyonce and kelly have done. it’ll probably flop on the charts if she releases it.

the beat is ssssssssssick but, the words are kinda corny and that turns me off…but if michelle is coming with these beats i dunno, i feel she can stand a chance to do better than kelly! and i agree with the last poster, the production on this is better than half the songs on bday and ms. kelly!

i must say that i love all of dc3. im feeling this beat.. and it suits her voice..i couldnt believe when she decided to be an rnb artist.. and i must say that her voice stands out and will more than likely be the tpain on female rnb artist soon.. and to all those saying kelly is suceeding yall just wait.. shes hot and if you havent seen her live i mean in person.. the girl is talented… so good luck to all of dc3 and go pick up the ms. kelly rerelease cause when i say its good..its good better than bday.. I mean, we couldn’t get one post in before we started comparing her to beyonce and Kelly! and as more than one person have pointed out, their latest stuff ain’t been all that. CLEARLY! lol.. But anyway, I like this song, love her voice and she sounds really good. This song and the way she sang with her voice gives me BRANDY. So that means it must be FIYAH lol. And I actually think the lyrics are clever.. Do it big Michelle!

I’ve always love Michelle, Difinitely has a Brady-esque feel. I love it. I also like that she isn’t talkin about making a baby or how s*** or hot she is, she is staying true to herself. I definitely believe she is just what the industry needs right now. I hope she has much success, b/c her gospel albums were amazing. She has great potential.

i like it, but i don’t know if it first single material. I wish michelle and kelly to do really well with their albums. i want them to be successful solo singers.. they’re both really talented.. but ppl compare them to the phenomenal beyonce a lil too much…
