Yeah I really love this song! Still Standing Monica! You go Woman! This really is her correct element to go to, because this is where she made the hits from. I truly hope this album does well and keep standing on the charts and don’t fall after 1 or 2 weeks, come on Monica lets win some more Grammy awards! Let’s prove the haters wrong Monica.

Are we listening to the same song here? I have to say I’m a little disappointed with this. The beat in the begining was really hot but then the rest is just blah. I loved “Makings Of Me” though so I’m definately checkin for Monica.
Her haircut though lawdhamercy! what is that foolishness?

This is a hit single… best believe… B.Cox is a fuckin monster and Adonis is sick with that Pen… Monica laid down crazy vocals and Luda delivered a Hot verse as usual.. nothin more we could wish for.. Great comeback song.. sure there’s more hits to come. Lookin forward to the album.

Mm love the lyrics, but the beat is real amateurish. When they first played it on the reality show, I was thinking, “is this really the beat they’re gettin’ down to or are they just playin’ a fake one to not release the hottness quite yet.”
I agree with the label, this is definitely not first single material, maybe an album track though.
I loved the other uptempo B. Cox song they featured in the special though.

The problem is Monica needs producers who are more soul not just beat busters. I don’t think this sung would go to far. Just the hype of her coming back my land it on the billboard 100 but this song is not a great comeback single. I can see it on the album but honestly Monica I hope you are sandra rose reads this get someone to give you old school female Marvin Gaye feel!!! That’s what’s up!!!!

I think Mo & Luda come hard on this track and the vocals are very strong i think this song it about the Lyrics more than the beat, which is a good thing because most music is dominated by beats rather than singers.
Sounds like a hit to me, even though i love her slow jamz…
Mayb Usher and Monica need a 3rd Duet after "Lets Straighten It Out" from Miss Thang & "Slow Jam" from My Way…
They duet great together…

I love this!!! I keep hearing statements about how she’s gonna come back to herself on this album (not give into current trends, etc.), but the only songs that were out of character from the last album IMO were ETBD and Raw.
I’m just glad it’s not something that sounds just like Why Her. That was my big fear.

I definitely agree that Brian Cox went a little low-budget dirty south with some of the instrumentation. However, it is a song I can definitely see making it at radio. But more importantly than it being a crossover success, Monica loves this song. The words speak so strong to her that she came to tears when she first heard it. It is rare that you get to see how an artists material actually afftects them. Whether or not people jump on this album, Monica can rest assured that her fans will really appreciate her dedication for wanting to give them something genuine. Furthermore, Monica will be able to look at this album and know that she came correct and if people don’t understand at least she will know she gave it her all.

OH HEAVEN YES!! I have always had respect for this woman. I appreciate her when she’s on,and I miss her when she’s gone. She’s one of the artists I grew up with and I always look foward to her music. The only album of her’s I don’t own is The Makings of Me. I just wasn’t feeling that one;but,I’ve been waiting on this one. I will be there when it hits stores.

i really like this song and i think it will be a huge success for monica and luda. i hope her album comes out soon. i think monica and brandy should do a “the boy is mine, part 2″ Monica should do some duets with usher, michelle williams, kelly rowland, beyonce, solange, fantasia, ne-yo, or chris brown

The song is okay but i thought the record company had a problem with the direction of the last album “the makings of me” but it seems that she is taking the same route that isn’t going to give her the same success that she had in her hay day. this is an okay taster song but she needs to go the more commercial route if she want to make it big again and get to the top.
since Brandy was mentioned i have to say that i love her and have all her albums but she needs to change her style as the came has changed, im glad she’s working with rodney Jerkins as i always felt that him and kanye stretched her vocal skills to the fullest but timberland allowed her to slide a bit

okay, ive just seen the show and im feeling the instrumental that they were playing on the way to the studio, and the song she was recording with b cox. The Stargate song was okay but sounded generic, like the rest of there stuff.
But all in all the track thats on this blog sounds betta without luda (it reminds me of a Mary song) but im not sure it’s going to make the million selling monica that we love and it seems that she needs it.

I hope all the people on here saying they love the song..go cope the album cause Monica’s career is on life support. One thing i’ll nver forget is Monica acting as groupie when Usher brought her on stage to sing Superstar to her on the “Truth Tour DVD”..it made her look back from how she was dressed to how she was acting..i thought she was better than that. she might as well try Brian Cox cause she tried jermain dupri on the last album and it still flopped!!!
