Monica Performs ‘Still Standing’ Live
Monica took to the stage at the V103 Soul Session in Atlanta on Tuesday night to perform new buzz single ‘Still Standing’. The 28 year old was joined by the friend and the song’s feature artist Ludacris for the showing. Peep the performance below:

Preach on! A young woman who actually has words of wisdom. Great song, great vocals…sadly anytime you record on phone the playback music is always too strong…even w/ that slight you can tell she was sanging. Sounds just like the record. I even love her into…no matter what in life people are gonna hate you…but, don’t let anyone take from you what they didn’t give you..love it..that is my new motto. Haters put the haterade juice down! Go Monica!

Kk so Monica if you are listening, let me talk directly to you for a second. I have been riding with you since I first saw your little clip in the Freedom video from the Panther soundtrack. With that said, I, and my fam, have been die-hards for a long time. So it is a fan and a champion of your cause that i say, PLEASE DONT LET YOUR LABEL SCREW UP YET ANOTHER ALBUM FOR YOU!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!
I think anyone who actually bought your last two CDs know exactly what I am talking about. Both were filled with great cuts that the world will never hear due to poor single choices that in no way reflect the rest of the stellar material on the album. Case in point, "RAW". One of the hottest Monica cuts ever. Never released to see the light of day because it was buried under the crapacity that was "Everytime the Beat Drops". Don't get me wrong, I like "Beat Drops" but it gave people the impression that you were on some snap music kick about 1.5 years to late. In actuality, the Making of Me was chocked full of R&B bangers with real SANGIN'!!!
This is your strong point. THAT VOICE. Since the beginning you have been given weak tracks that you made hits with that voice. The same continues today but we live in a different time. You won't get the same kind of chances you got in the 90's or even the early 00's. You can't drop hot chart toppers like "So Gone" and then get gone for another 6 motnhs before releasing "Knock Knock". The tactics don't work in a post-Beyonce music industry. We all recall how hot "Gone" was before "Crazy in Love" hit that same summer. you had a chance to be right in the mix but poor choices and the lethargic release of folluw up singles killed it.
I could go on forever cuz I love ya but Mo you gots to do better. Call me. Email me. I am not above giving you some good heartfelt advice. noveen25@aol.com
I would just hate to see another superior album fall into the abyss again over some sillinesss.

Yep, I agree with Sho. If Monica puts out songs that showcase her voice and is consistent (not too much lag time between singles because people have short-attention spans you have to keep us thinking about you) then she will do well.
Awesome performance. You could tell she was really feeling it. Even Ludacris kinda’ smiled and laughed like “Girl you are feeling this”. Why was Luda on stage with a laptop bag though?

Monica, you have a great voice behind and outside of the studio. I watched the show that was aired in Atlanta and I must say, all praises should go to the young man who wrote that song. He went into the studio and came out within minutes of having this hit for you. Shout outs to him and much praises should be thrown his way.
