Kelly was singing live throughout the song, although I do think bits and pieces of the performance was pre-recorded. Anyways I really do love Kelly but she never really seems to have it all together for me when performing live. I love the way she sounds on the album, not so much live. As I said once before I prefer Kelly when she is singing in a group, she is her best when she is. No hate, I’m just sayin’.

Wow, I had no idea that she was lip-syncing in the beginning until I read these comments and went back to observe the video again. I find it so funny how people are so quick to call out Kelly Rowland for lip syncing a bit, but people are too damn stupid or in denial to see or admit that JANET JACKSON LIP-SYNCS DURING ALL OF HER PERFORMANCES! People act like she can sing so loudly and crystal clear while doing those dance moves and it’s all fake! Anyway, Kelly still sounded amazing and she commanded the stage. When she sung at the end, she had a powerful and soulful voice. Kelly has always sung live during her performances especially when she performed her overseas hit “Work” so this “lip-syncing” thing is no big deal.
