Here is the full version of Ameriie’s ‘Outside Your Body’. The song serves as the first single from the singer’s new album, ‘Cymatika Volume 1′, due in stores early next year. Give it a listen below:
The production is the key to this song (thanks to Andre Harris, Nikholai Greene and Kasey Phillips). It gives the track a Japanese Pop sound that is unique yet comparable the House/Dance productions of most of today’s major Pop hits.
The only observable flaws are Amerii’s almost one-dimensional voice and the underwhelming delivery on the verses. A bit more power would have definitely gone a long way. Nonetheless, the song is still impressive.

The song is impressive. I love how people compare her to Beyonce when its Beyonce who is the most overrated, and completely unoriginal artist around. She bites from everyone, even Ameriie. Ameriie had her style before Beyonce went solo, but because Beyonce is more popular she gets the credit. Shame on her and shame on most of the people that posted. Good job Ameriie. I support you. I can’t hear this song right now, but I am a big Amerie fan, or was, and I can tell you right now that she is one of the wackest and weakest singers of this generation! Her voice was so powerful and passionate when she came out with her first album and then she started screeching, singing all high and out of tune, and now she sounds a mess! Amerie can just never get it right. She graduated from college and is obviously extremely intelligent when she’s speaking so she knows how to use the right vocabulary and description when explaining her music. This whole House/Acid thing she is doing is just an influence from Gaga and everyone else who jumped on the electronic genre bandwagon. She wants to make it like she thought of something new and unique when in reality; she’s just taking what is trendy right now, mixing it up, and trying to create something of “her own.” The best music she’s ever done is contemporary R&B mixed with hip-hop. This includes the music from her first and second album, and first mixtape. She’s the type of artist who has to rely on a solid and committed fanbase to buy her music. Artists who succeed at this are Keyshia Cole (Platinum all three albums), Mary J Blige, Alicia Keys, and Sade. She should hook up with producers who make real contemporary R&B beats that consist of many instruments. Examples are Trey Songz and Bobby Valentino.

Definitely a different direction for Amerie, and as a fan, I’m supporting it all the way.
I’m thinking that this is going to be a big hit overseas, which I think should be her main focus. The United States isn’t God. Just because it isn’t big in the U.S., doesn’t mean it’s going to be a failure overall.
