I have always said that Teenage Dream is sometimes overlooked for how well-produced that album is. Despite a few questionable live performances, Katy Perry is a strong singer with a good sound, and good vision. Good for her!

That’s because it was Gaga’s FIRST single off of her new album and everyone was anxiously waiting for it, plus she performed it at the Grammys which was huge promotion. Katy’s first single (California Girls) off Teenage Dream spent the same amount of weeks at number as BTW. E.T. is Katy’s FOURTH consecutive single going to number one (probably because TD’s sales aren’t that impressive), while most artists’ respective fourth single peak within the top 20.

I guess her turning point was firework because I thought It was beautiful how she got her fans and real people with special stories/talents to join in. (see the creating of firework) 🙂 I like lady gaga, I have her cd and wouldn’t mind paying to see her in concert one day but sometimes she tries too hard to be different and that definitely can rub someone off in the wrong way.
