It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything from Pop starlet Jordin Sparks. Indeed, after the tanking of her ‘Battlefield’ LP (despite the title track’s success on the Single charts), there had talk of the American Idol alum potentially being dropped from her label.
However, it appears the 21 year old’s career has been handed another lifeline. Cue ‘I Am Woman’. A snippet of the cut, said to be a front runner for Sparks’ new single, has hit the net.

Feisty and fierce, the track is a refreshing (and much needed) change of pace for the singer. For far too long she’s presented a Disney-esque image of self – which, in keeping it real – would see her chart prospects severely limited.
At 21, it seems Sparks is finally coming into her own musically. Here’s hoping the full track, and her forthcoming album, re-affirm that. She’s far too talented to fall by the wayside.

It has a hard hitting uptemo beat , but doesn’t sound like every other techno club pop song out right now. I love the horns in the beat, cant wait to hear the full version. About the song, it sounds cute but I have heard it a million times before, she needs to come with something a bit more fresh.
I do not like it…it sounds very busy (construction noise) & no offence but this sounds nothing like anything B would release. She is extremely talented though so it would be a shame if she to fall by the wayside when people like Kesha (who has yet to prove to me that she has any singing ability) succeed.

Anywho, it sounds interesting, definitely edgy and nothing like she has ever done before. I can’t really judge it to I hear the full song though but it definitely sounds like it has potential.
I’m just glad that she has finally released something even if it is just a snippet.She is so talented and has a beautiful voice and it would be such a shame to see another former American Idol winner fade into oblivion. WOW! JORDIN IS WOMAN! This is a amazing snippet! I just listened to this a bunch of times! I AM AMAZED! This is so different from what were used from her. I am very excited for what is to come on her upcoming album! This is going to be a very empowering anthem for all the women out there. It’s similiar to something we might have expected from her musical influence Christina Aguilera. But I love this song coming from Jordin! I can’t even imagine what the other songs are going to be like! I have a very good feeling this album is going to be her best yet and she has lost a lot of weight! Jordin is amazing and this song is so catchy! I can’t wait to hear the full version of it! I was lucky enough to meet jordin at the wisconsin state fair this year and she is so sweet and gorgeous! She is so down to earth and so grounded. I must say she is so mature for being 21, she’s got a level head on her shoulders. I find it unbelievable that her label nearly dropped her?! I thought battlefield was incredible it made me even more anxious to see what jordin had in store next. Jordin has an amazing face and I definitely agree she is underrated.
