With a guest list and list of performers that included such A-list acts as Jennifer Lopez, Martina McBride, and others, it’s no wonder this past weekend’s MDA (Muscular Dystropy Association) annual Labor Day weekend telethon raised a whopping $61.5 million (nearly $3 million more than last year).
Hosted by So You Think You Can Dance judge Nygel Lythgoe, the six-hour live broadcast also featured stirring performances from TGJ faves Celine Dion and Jordin Sparks.

Both songs were touching, just like the whole Telethon. I also like the duet with country singer Darius Rucker and 12-year old Abey Umali http://youtu.be/Orlaso4Uzhc It was very cute and both performed well!
I am happy the MDA was able to raise $61.5 million, breaking their 2008 record.

Celine is one of my favs. But it´s funny cos this song is clearly my least favorite from her new show in Vegas. It doesn´t suit her like some other songs do. And yes Mariah´s version was better but that´s irrelevant now. Neither of them are at their vocal peak, they are just legends who did it better than all your favorites. In fact, they keep on doing it better than most if not all of nowadays minidivas

I am glad both divas are back in the game.
Celine is an Icon and Jordin needs a bit more comfortability confidence but I really liked that song. Yes to both.
