Though plagued with a number of growing unfavorable headlines, anticipation for tomorrow’s Michael Jackson Forever tribute is still mounting. And while fans ready themselves for the Jamie Foxx-hosted extravaganza featuring performances from the likes of Christina Aguilera, Ne-Yo, Jennifer Hudson, Beyonce, and more, news has surfaced two formerly expected A-list guests won’t be in attendance – Chris Brown and Black Eyed Peas.
Much like Michael’s pop superstar sibling Janet Jackson, their absences are not being received well by fans and critics of the show. Unlike Miss Jackson, their reasons – in Chris Brown‘s case, especially – weren’t exactly voluntary…
Chris Brown, whose criminal record includes domestic violence charges stemming from the 2009 assault of pop starlet/then-girlfriend Rihanna, was consequently denied VISA grant and thusly barred from the United Kingdom. While rumors swirled that the ‘She Ain’t You’ singer would instead perform via pre-taped performance like fellow pop star Beyonce, those rumors were silenced with insiders reporting the family didn’t want to put a ‘negative slant on the day’. Black Eyed Peas, on the other hand, found themselves removed just days before the concert is to take place.
Chris Hunt, head of Global Live Events (the sponsoring promoter) is quoted saying (via New York Times):
“Due to unavoidable circumstances, the Black Eyed Peas will be unable to perform at this Saturday’s Michael Forever event,” he told Reuters.
“It is with regret that we announce the removal of Black Eyed Peas from the Michael Forever bill, but I look forward to a great night with other earth-shattering artists,” he said.

This would be the second time Chris Brown was unfortunately unable to tribute his idol. As we all know and was proven via the 2010 BET Awards, there is no better fitting tribute performer than Brown who has not only praised Michael his entire career, but also has proven (time after time) to be his best emulator.
Given the number of setbacks and oppositions to the showing, from fans and Jackson family members alike, the outcome of the ceremony will certainly be one to see.

OK, the BEP are still popular, so they could offer more star power to the concert, but if they were going to actually REMIX an MJ song, I’ll pass…If that was the plan, I’m glad they won’t perform.
Now, when it comes to Chris Brown, I wanted him to perform because he’s a great dancer and one of the very few recording artists that can do MJ’s moves a bit of justice, but wasted opportunities like this one are a blessing in disguise for him and his fans.Chris Brown needs to grow up and learn that there will be consequences if he does something wrong, especially when that wrong thing is a crime.
I also wanted Ciara to perform for the same reasons and I cannot understand why she wasn’t invited.Low selling or not, her footwork wipes the floor with those radio puppets that can’t even toss their hair without cracking a muscle.

Everyone saw it and loved it. Breezy has no time to play around=> he is a very busy kid with his tour and festivals and parties everywhere else. Although team breezy UK are super anxious to see him sometime soon.
As for this tribute, I believe the right people are missing from the line up=> Janet, Chris & Peas are successful & top class performers. Now see, I keep getting different stories and the site that this article was taken from is NOT a reliable site. This was soooo good I had to repeat it! The following is why they MAD….stay mad!
MESMERIZING! The applause, the cheering, the hand clapping and the SCREAMS were soooooo loud as the count-down for Chris’ appearance on stage ticked away the seconds; I watched as one child held both hands over her ears and screamed!
I’ve got to start with Chris, He was last to perform; The energy and anticipation was so great you couldn’t stay seated; YOU found yourself standing with eyes sharpen to not miss a single movement of the moment. Chris appeared and as he sang “Oh My Love” “Love the Girls” then “Say it With Me” one could not help but notice this tall lean but very muscular statuesk physic; as handsome as expected and no longer the young boi of course, but a 6’2??? man, who did flips like a human trampoline. He simply wore a thin summer sleeveless tee (you know the type he tears off) and a light blue pair of jeans which was a perfect fit (not sagging nor tight) in regards to the muscles in legs. He wore a black toboggan on his head as it was a chilly and a windy 42 degrees at the out door Walnut Creek Amphitheater, in Raleigh, NC. The chill did not effect his vocals at all. His voice was beautiful and on point. At one point he sang with out music and it was beautiful! He sang all of the songs from FAME, and only used auto tune on the introduction to “No Air” and I believe on “Forever”, but otherwise no auto tune. (You gotta hear “Forever” live, it’s a different effect). I could not keep up with the order of songs I was too excited and I’m sure I danced at my seat the whole show–so forgive me. When Chris sang Deuces, it was introduced for everyone to put their two’s in the air”, The beat of the bass was sooooo deep, loud and GREAT sounding; accustic wise I’m sure Raleigh, NC will never be the same. (please forgive misspelled words) YOU’D HAVE TO BE THERE TO EXPERIENCE IT! His voice was so on point. He sang an let us sing, then surprised us with Tyga’s appearance and rapping on “Deuces”. Chris and Tyga performed “Holla at me Boo” and “Bringing Snapbacks Back” The crowd just went Ham, crazy ALL NIGHT LONG! Chris changed outfits many many times during the night.
The STAGE was unique and beautiful, a sight to behold. I could see the ramps on either side and (remembered his fall last week was it?) Well, Chris jumped off the steps and avoided the ramp all together on his 1st. time down from the upper levels of his three-story high stage. When Chris performed “She Ain’t You” his dancers were “killing it” it was GREAT. He ended that song in the sillowett of Micheal Jackson (How do he do that?) . Chris dances to perfection not only this song but “Every” song! Remember, how perfectly, he performed on BET and VMAs and MTV awards, well each song was performed with that same amount of intensity and energy “each song” all with choregraphed dance steps and special 3D light show effects. A very very very large screen, located at the top of the stage gave the effects of being on broadway or inside the music video with Chris. When Chris sang “All Back”,”Take you Down” and “No BS” his stage presence just transcended directly to your heart, No Videos, TV nor PC can compare to seeing him live. He sang “Look At Me Now”, Yeah 3x and his dancers “Killed it”; “Next to You’\” and Wet the Bed was wonderful too! Chris blew us away with “Paper, Scissors, Rock” loved the light show and lighted dancers with that; but Chris saved the best for last as he performed “Beautiful People” with all it’s lazer lights and lighted dancers, he brought the house down to say the least. I GOT MY MONEY’S WORTH. It felt like I had worked out in the gym. wow!
TYGA came on 1st. and he performed well but short. Next, was Ms. Kelly Rowland and she was phenominal! She is so pretty with really long legs and dances really really well. Her voice is beautiful; the girl can SANG! T-Pain put on a real Good show. His time on stage was a little longer and T-Pain “killed it” too! and get this He is loosing weight! He sang most of the night without auto tune, Unbelievable! That man can Sang! I guess if you tour with Chris Brown you’ve got to RAISE THE BAR!
I saw Pat, Chris’ bodyguard, and he isn’t really that big. TV and photographs make him look huge or it could be when he stands next to Chris makes him look big. He was talking to some guys; I looked at him, he looked at me but I didn’t speak even tho he looked approachable.

let’s get this straight, cb can sing. Nobody is denying that, HOWEVER, his timbre is light and forgettable. There is nothing special about it. Aaliyah’s voice is superior to his by FAR. It’s very unique and has certain characteristics that cant be mimiced, if someone were to attempt to sing an aaliyah song, it probably wouldnt sound as good or it would be hard because theres something unique about aaliyahs voice in her songs that make them hard to cover. I’ve seen plenty of people MURK cb songs on youtube because they are passive, unforgettable, EASY vocal songs. Hell, I even covered one of his songs once, and I got so bored because it was so easy vocally I changed the key and style of it. Also, Aaliyah’s head voice was beautiful. She could hit notes above b flat and in the key of C. Chris brown however, has a horrible falsetto/head voice. Whenever he tries he fails, and because his voice is weak, he does aLOT of runs. I’m just keeping it real. Miguels voice as well as usher and justin timberlake are WAY better than cb’s. And I think maybe he could get better but he dosent want to. Just my opinion.
All that being said, in the arguement concerning aaliyah and chris brown’s voices, aaliyahs is superior to his. that is all.

According to Daily Mirror reports today, Chris Brown was blocked from entering the UK this week, preventing him from performing at Saturday’s Michael Forever tribute concert. What the reports don’t mention is the fact that Chris Brown wasn’t even on the line-up for the gig – and that he is actually currently in the middle of his own US tour.
The story says that Brown was apparently barred from coming to Britain because of his previous criminal activities and his record – but these rumours are in actual fact false, as there is no way Brown would agree to perform at the show when he has gigs lined-up for tonight, Saturday, Sunday and almost every day until November 6th. Also, if Snoop Dogg, The Game and Ice Cube can all manage to make their way into the country – I’m sure little old Chris Brown can too.
The article seems to suggest that Chris Brown was part of the concert’s line-up, and suggested that maybe he could perform by hologram, but the anonymous source then decided that that “would put a negative slant on the day.”
In related news, Chris Brown is said to be planning to bring his F.A.M.E tour to the UK in 2012 – watch out on Stereoboard for more news on that tour in the near future.
