TGJ has a point, you can hate or like Nicki’s music style as were all free to but you’d be in denial to pretend she hasn’t done more in 3 years than most anyone to be frank.
She’s setting down new record for people to break especially considering at the end of the day she’s a young black female rapper. She’s found a way to make her own space in the mainstream so they accept her without challenging the music she makes.

Pop stars get commercials. Pepsi is trying to clean up their image for what they did to black women in the Pepsi Super Bowl commercial last year. They will use any black chick at this point. Hell. Pepsi is a multi million dollar company, with a well paid and highly respected marketing department, do you REALLY think they’d just put anyone at the forefront of their brand.

@Army of Queen Aaliyah You do realize that NONE of Kim’s albums have sold 3mil domestically yet right and Kim’s debut has been out for 16 years and is nowhere near 3x platinum… Nicki has nearly sold 2mil domestically in 15 months. FEMALE RAPPERS have never sold like female singers or male rappers so your argument about Drake (Whose debut album ‘Thank Me Later’ was outsold by Nicki’s debut album ‘Pink Friday’) & Adele is invalid. #SitDown

@TK Kim Hardcore sold 5 million to date.Don’t get your information from Wikipedia,there not a reliable source.Lauren Hill sold 20 million as well,so no Nicki aint doing sh*t.Every female rapper before her have multiple platinum albums that stay true to hip hop.Nicki had to go pop to sell and 1.6 million for a pop artist is a fail.

Yall are fucking pressed. How are u going to compare sales from Kim’s debut album from 15 YEARS ago, and Nickis debut album from 15 MONTHS ago. Duhh Kim’s shit has sold more its been available to buy for 15 fucking years. Let’s talk about Naked Truth and Pink Friday. The Naked Truth only sold 135k in the first week. And 3 YEARS after its release only sold 595k. That’s why Kim got dropped from Atlantic records.
