Brandy‘s ‘Two Eleven’ promo train pulled into the Good Morning America studios this morning.
Backed by her now ever-present dancers and a full band, B-Rocka served up a pulsating performance of her smash hit ‘Put It Down’.
Watch Ms. Norwood in action below…
Via Brandy Daily:
With both her swag and vocals on 100, B-Rocka nailed this! The live band was an awesome touch, beefing up the already meaty cut for a fuller showing. Great performance!
As previously reported, ‘Two Eleven’ is on-course to open at #2 on the Billboard 200 next week. Be sure to pick up a copy!

Contrary to the dismal sales predictions, i think she will sale in the low 100,000s. There are way too many people showing their support and love for the project right now. A lot of artists and celebs have even been tweeting how great the album sounds including Ciara, Syleena Johnson, Karrueche, Jasmine Sullivan, and India.Arie who called her a “vocal icon”. I have seen so many people on FB, Instagram and Twitter tweet constantly about an album. She will do well. Love you Bran!

At the end of the day it still won’t matter because this album is AMAZING and there are at least 4-5 more single worthy songs and I couldn’t say the same for “Human”. She is killing these performances. What God has for you, IS for you!! Brandy’s fans, team, and the industry (peers) are behind her. You can’t keep a good woman down!!

Anywho, the others in the category can speak on the CD which is very good! Regardless of how much she sells 2/11 is a quality CD. I'm tired of the fake measures placed on POP stars being used To measure the success of BLACK…SOUL….R&B ARTISTS!

Correction, Beyonce is using Brandy’s choreographer and stylist. Frank Gatson and his team worked with Brandy back in the 90′s way before Beyonce started working with him. And this is not Beyonce hate just a FACT. I don’t see the similarity though in their styles. Beyonce is very much more DRAMATIC with her perforamnces while Brandy is a lil more “Hip Hop” with hers.

Well then I guess Beyonce is copying Tina Turner with the wardrobe and dancing with two girls and I guess BEyonce is copying Michael Jackson with the glove. I mean seriously Beyonce is not the creator of performance. Brandy was dancing in her prime and she’s dancing now so what. and LIKE I SAID, Jaquel knight is PART OF Frank Gatson’s team who was working with Brandy BEFORE Beyonce.
Some of you make it seem like the next time somebody steps on a stage and dances their automatically copying Beyonce. Like she is not the creator of all things performance wise. Stop it! Girl is GREAT but give credit to other people who are just as good!

Uh I guess she’s trying something new because to be singing I’ve her her do better on her recent ballads. I was sorta lost by the message. She did dance but I hope her aim was to control her body. In the chorus on imma put it down and you gon fall in love I would expect less tenseity from the hips. I’m not sure if I am seeing this correctly. I also feel like she’s abouth to start free styling. THEN SHE SINGS. WTHWT? The break she poses. Why is there no rapping in a song that you would expect it on. I want balance. She needs to strengthen her vocals a little more. Any thing I miss?

I hate people that waste opportunities. She has been dropped and passed around labels before. She is 33, dark skin and not as attractive as the two leading redbones: Beyonce and Rih. Plus she is doing RNB. She should have come back swinging. Look at the kind of promo Rita Ora does: Tour, GQ, vogue, On air with Ryan seacrest seventeen, MTV awards and all its afterparties; GMA, Jimmy kimmell, radio tour pop and urban etc. Plus, Rita went to Germany, Australia, Japan , UK, France etc. BRANDY SHOULD OF DONE THIS X 10 she has been in the business longer than Rita.
So now, she has flopped, sold a crappy 60k in her 1st week. I have no sympathy. Why the fuck was she not at the MTV awards? Why has she not gone on air with Ryan seacreat? AKA, why has she not done a Rita Ora? It seems the white girls ( rihana excluded ) work harder. She only has herself to blame for flopping and this will be the same fate ( if not worse ) for Kelly rowland and Ciara.

I appreciate the effort you put into your comments but let me help you understand how the music industry works. You can’t just call up Ryan Seacrest or MTV and say hey I wanna come perform. Every major artist makes requests to appear on these shows for promo and only a few are invited. The networks, radio stations and concert agencies will only book you if they feel you are “hot” or “popular” at the moment. Unfortunately for Brandy she has been gone so long that she has to start over as new artist. Her ppl are booking her as much as they can but they will increase as she continues to “prove” herself to the industry. The doors that are closed now will slowly open if she continues to get the support she’s getting from her fans. Rita Ora was lucky to have Jay Z and Beyonce backing her and therefore was granted opportunities based on who she knows not because of who she is. It’s all political. Think about that the next time you decide to compare different artists.

Eh em. I’m gonna say that yes the light skin ladies are beautiful and it is in who you know and how you treat others. Music is a talent which means you have to be versatile. Brandy is not a new artist and never will be again. Her failures will be partially her fault. Rihanna has came UP dancing a bit better and better. Beyonce Slays. Period. I havent seen much of Rita. I do know this You have to be capable of being versatile and trying something new and not always try to relate. Singing is NOT talking. The range of her voice is getting to me. It doesn’t sit well as some people may think. Why has she not been accepted like the likes of the aboved named women? Where had she been? Every body sick and still working so where is the exception? The truth is what people want or should and NOT a sweet lie.

Great vocal performance but like I always said from the beginning, that choreo is NOT the business. When she danced more at the end I felt embarassed for her. Anywho, the bridge was very beautiful with the piano. All in all, she deserves success. However, I’ve listened to the album cuz she posted the link on fb. Her or her publicist and I don’t hear anything single worthy. Maybe the album has to grow on me. It IS some very deep passionate R&B songs on there I must say. PID and wildest dreams have the most potential I must say. “let me go” is also a close runner up.

Brandy can sing but she used to sound of cream. I keep hearing an annoying rasp and that is not what Brandy used to sound like. I believe that Brandy still has potential, I watched her perform. I feel like she did dance well in her heels. But it wasn’t somersaults. I won’t refer to another artist in her regard. I was confused on the concept of the choreography and the arrangement of the song. Because she was very crunk but it did seem hip hop and not R&B. I feel like something was missing and I honestly wish I could pin point it.

Brandy’s voice has been raspy ever since Never Say Never. This isn’t new. Her voice hasn’t been silky smooth since “I Wanna Be Down.”

The beats sound like they go more than her singing, the lyrics on both songs I like. The chorus sounds decent on Let me Go.

Lol at the Beyonce stans connecting everything back to Beyonce. Its ironic considering she isn’t the most “creative” of the bunch, if you know what I mean. Anyways, Ms. Norwood shut the show down. I am so happy for her and I really want this album to do well because its that good.

Not buying the album. I didn’t like it. All R&B songs sound alike and all Pop/techno songs sound alike. The vocals on this performance were…ehh. It wasn’t good to me. I miss old Brandy. *goes to watch Double Platinum*

There are no pop/techno songs on this album. But I guess you’re one of those traditional conservative folks who are dead set against artists growing and evolving, and taking risks with their music. It’s okay, she’s gonna be find regardless but God forbid you to change at all within the past 14 years.
God bless.
