The X Factor 2012 saw its 9th set of eliminations tonight. Find out who’s heading home this week…
{An international phenomenon, local versions of the show show now air in the US, Italy, France and beyond. The brain-child of Simon Cowell, The X Factor is responsible for birthing the careers of Leona Lewis, Alexandra Burke, One Direction, Cher Lloyd and JLS.
Judging the hopefuls are Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, original panelist Louis Walsh, and newcomer Nicole Scherzinger}.
With the judges losing their right to vote as the show cruises towards next week’s final, the fate of the remaining contestants was left solely to the public vote.
Hence, after registering the lowest total vote of the contestants, Union J were sent home.
The X Factor continues on ITV1 next Saturday.
