Not the best year for pop music – Katy Perry would never make my chart on a good year (with the notable exception of ET). Other than Rihanna the big names basically put out shite which flopped accordingly (Your Body, Gimme All Your Loving, Part of Me, I could go on…), roll on 2013 with Gaga and Beyonce putting out new albums and I’m sure we’ll see another Rihanna album at the end of the year as well. Before anyone whines about how well some of these did in the US charts – I ain’t fucking American and could care less about Billboard, any chart that includes more than pure sales is totally irrelevant in any event. Who cares about airplay when sales are low? Obviously Americans do

Its fine, she did a good job of mimicking Whitney’s version. I would must prefer it if she added her own spin to it instead of doing a carbon copy of the original cover’s.
Anyways, Dolly’s version is wonderful and hugely underrated. I love both version of this song because Dolly’s version is simple, country flavored while Nippy’s cover of the song is just impeccable and she sang in a way that excuses the cheesy mess the song actually was.
