Tonight, the 2013 People’s Choice Awards took the honor of being first to kick off the 2013 awards season. The ceremony, held at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theater, saw TGJ favorites Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Beyonce, Usher, Chris Brown, and more all vying for the show’s top honors.

No offense, but when is the last time you heard anything from the Katycats? It’s always been a heavy and obvious following of The Navy (which I’m part of) and The Beehive.
Also, the whole Rihanna and R&B is getting completely out of control and I’m a Rihanna Stan. It puts me in the idea of high school when the most popular kid ran for President and a lesser known student. However, the Popular kid won but wasn’t right for the job when the lesser student would have been perfect!

just as would a white artist who although is more of an rnb artist but releases pop songs will be considered a pop artist

Those songs you mentioned are all Ratchet ghetto club songs. Songs sung with a HIP HOP beat. With the exception of HTILY (a POP fucking song). They are NOT fucking R&B. bey is pop cause she has in the past released pop filled albums and pop singles, she is pop cause even 4 had pop ballads with her rnb ones.
usher has always incorporated pop elements in his music, and now has gone in a dance pop direction.
and by the definition of what makes an rnb artist on here none of this ppl deserved to be on that list because just like rihanna whose music of the sun, a girl like me, talk that talk and unapologetic are catered more to the urban community then pop, and has released just as many urban tracks as her pop, is not considered rnb then shouldnt this other artists
