Cheryl Cole Settles ‘X Factor’ Legal Dispute Ahead Of New Album

Published: Thursday 28th Nov 2013 by David

‘Boys Lie‘ singer Cheryl Cole has settled her long running dispute with Blue Orbit Productions today, one year after she filed a lawsuit against the production company after she was axed from their US TV show the ‘X Factor USA.’

Full story below…

After bidding adieu to the show’s British sibling to join producer Simon Cowell on its newly formed US panel, Cole was ousted from the position before the show aired on Kevin Reilley‘s ‘FOX‘, replaced by former ‘Pussycat Doll’ Nicole Scherzinger.

In her suit, the ‘Call My Name’ belle claimed she was owed money for seasons 1 and 2 of the talent competition, seeking a total of $2.3 million.

Fortunately, today has seen the dispute settled out of court for an undisclosed amount- agreed upon before the release of the chart topper’s fourth studio album and confirmed by her spokesperson, who shared:

“Cheryl’s dispute with Blue Orbit has been resolved amicably.”

Cheryl’s entire solo career was built by XFUK producers and she thought XFUSA would make her a huge star over here but it didn’t work. She can’t sing, isn’t talented but was a part of an amazing girl group and that’s as far as it goes.

I wonder if she knew about Ashley liking it in the bum.

I like her, but she NEEDED to be humbled. She really let Simon convince her that she was the second coming of Beyonce and never understood why her singles would only slay when the X Factor was on. As soon as the show finished, she would drop the ball on her albums and go back to being lazy. Imo, CMN only slayed because they put her entire budget into making into slay not because she knows how to promote singles or an entire body of work a la Rih Rih.

    Flawless Queen!

I could use her if she learned to sing and put more effort into her albums.

Her label must love her because she’s so cheap to produce. She only ever releases one major single and video, and only does two or three TV performances a year.

Is a Kelly fan commenting on somebody’s work ethic?

    • CARMEN November 29, 2013

Cheryl has 3 singles off her debut, 2 off her sophomore and 2 (technically 3) off her third. all her singles have videos. and Cheryl def does wayyyyy more tv performances than Kelly

I absolutely love her, she is such a rare beauty, style queen and talented performer.

Cannot wait to get my hands on the fourth album, she has a good ear for music.

      yaaaaaaas Lovebird!

She always has some salvageable songs on her records; plus she’s gorgeous & can perform relatively well (better than a lot of the top artists of today who are dreadful performers)

Can’t say I’m too excited for her return to music, but I’m fasho not mad about it.

Too bad we probs won’t be seeing any big budget X Factor UK performances this go around, what with the estrangement, legal battles and all
