New Video: Camila Cabello, Pitbull, & J Balvin – ‘Hey Ma’

Published: Friday 7th Apr 2017 by Sam

The ‘Fast & Furious 8’ unites a number of notable names and so too does its soundtrack

Case in point ‘Hey Ma’ by Camilla Cabello, Pitbull, and J Balvin.

Already a hit in its Spanish language incarnation, the English version of the song  (along with a video) was unleashed today ahead of the soundtrack’s April 14th release.

It marks the latest high-profile move Cabello since departing Fifth Harmony in December.

Peep the visual for ‘Hey Ma’ below…

Cute video, although we expected more from the song given the fire that was the snippet floating around.

Still, it sounds rich in summer anthem potential. Whether it’ll become one will no doubt become apparent in the weeks and months ahead.

As ever, though…

They are really trying to make this girl a thing. Shame so much effort is not being invested in an artist with better vocals and more star quality

      Lol my thoughts exactly…?

    No

She’s going to be the Nicole Sherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls, she’ll do more hosting & guest judging for some show in the near future….??‍♂️

Lol funny but true. They tried so hard to make her the Beyoncé of 5H but she is not even the Melody of the dolls

It’s not a single. Why are u talking about Beyoncé on a Camilla Cabelo post?

  9. Francis April 7, 2017

Smart move, creating buzz with a bunch of features. She better have an excellent debut single or she’ll lose this momentum.

They are doing everything to keep her name out there until her music drops. The transition from a successful group to a successful solo career is extremely difficult. For all these collaborations she is doing, might as well stayed in the group.

They are creating buzz around her, a lot of careers start with features, but I don’t know if it will pay off

Still a feature act I see. Well, it worked for Nicki for a bit.

    • Francis April 8, 2017

Yes, Nicki it’s just an example, I don’t really like this girl, but it’s a good move. Look at Bruno, he had Nothin On You and Billionaire before the launch of his first album. Still, I don’t see it for this girl, Nicole Scherzinger is gorgeous, has an amazing voice and can dance her ass off, the Dolls had more hits than 5H, but she still flopped.

I wanna hear the original version with Britney tho ?

At a minimum – Why didn’t she do any choreo?? All those similar looking dark haired girls to give the illusion she was involved in the dancing but she just does beauty shots and bleets a few bars. Dull.

this is what she left 5H for?… i think theyre too late with the features. They shouldve had her featured on a s*** load of songs before parting ways with the group, then drop the solo s***. Thats what they did wrong with Nicole, they waited too long to drop that solo album. Shouldve done it while it was hot, she was on everyones tracks while apart of the group but waited to long …the eventually burned out. A shame.

Wow, what a refreshing sound., upbeat song and music.
