It’s been a mammoth wait for fans of The Vocal Bible, but it finally looks as though she’s gearing up to add another chapter to her musical book of brilliance.

Updating her Instagram recently, B-Rocka added the following to her bio:
“#B7 Music is here! I’m tweaking and perfecting it. The Wait is not in vain.”
She also advised that her upgrade to main-cast on ‘STAR’ will see her character Cassie keep views on the edge of their seats.
But, for many fans, it’s her return to music that’s most titillating.
And to further whet appetites, the 39-year-old Grammy winner shared shots of herself in the studio with hitmakers DJ Camper and LaShawn Daniels.

Suffice to say, it’s been way too long since Brandy blessed the masses with an album. Six years too long.
Nonetheless, with some acts, life has to be allowed to happen for greatness to flow freely.
In any case, we can’t wait for the LP!

Ledisi , Shante Moore, Yolanda Adams, and Tamia cant do any thing close to what Brandy does vocally. She is the most coppied artist since Michael Jackson and thats why she the vocal bible. Not only have other. Artists jacked her vocal swagger(men and women). But her riffing and running technique

I care not what anyone thinks or say what I’m now saying about my feelings of Brandy being a vocal bible of our era. I don’t know who gave her that title but to me, there are singers out right now and even in her time that surely can out sing ? and give her a run for that title. Just to name a few Ledisi, Ms. Yolanda, Celine , Beyoncé, Tamia this is just a few that can sing sang and vocal runs on key that I feel would give her a singing ? vocal and runs challenge. Real talk

Brandy’s runs is not the only reason why they call her the vocal bible. It’s the ability to use her voice as an instrument. The multi layered harmonies, which Whitney, Keke Wyatt, Ledisi, Fantasia, Celine, or anyone that you just named doesn’t use. If you are in this industry you would KNOW, a lot of people have jacked brandy’s vocal style. Solange has said it, Jazmine Sullivan has said it, Jhene Aiko has said it, even gospel stars have noticed it. Furthermore, there are singers who have literally sat and studied Brandy similar to how your grandparents or parents study an excerpt from the Bible, it’s the same thing when a singer hears brandy do a run, or stack her harmonies. Say what you want, but brandy has birth a whole generation of singers & that’s not an OPINION. Her few antics have made some of y’all so uneducated on her legacy. While i do agree that she has some work to do in her attitude, i will not be a hater and say she isn’t the standard to singers, she’s the blueprint, the GO-TO, when it comes to anything with vocals. Period

I’ve always liked Brandy as a singer, but it wasn’t until Afrodisiac that I fell in love with her artistry and have been a fan ever since. I look forward to all her releases now because she does try to push herself to evolve. None of her albums sound identical to any other and if she serves up the fire as with “Beggin’ and Pleadin'”, I’m all sorts of here for it.

I’ve said this before and will say it again, nobody of note in the industry has ever referred to Brandy as the vocal bible. This accolade is limited to her deluded fans. Does she have a record deal now or is she still selling that “I like the freedom of being independent” story?
