A fresh-faced Britney Spears made a rare appearance at the world première of Toy Story 3 yesterday (June 13th) at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood.
The reclusive star, 28, is said to be working on the follow-up to 2008′s ‘Circus’ LP
Ciara showed her fans her playful side on Ustream recently. The entertainer demonstrated her near-perfect Britney Spears imitation while covering the megastar’s club classic ‘Slave 4 U’. In 2008, Ciara opened for Spears in her sold-out ‘Circus’ tour. Peep the footage below:
Ever wonder how Britney Spears would sound singing Lady GaGa’s smash ‘Telephone’? If so, now you can, following the surfacing of what appears to be the Pop superstar’s unmastered demo of the Darkchild produced song.
(For those understandably confused; Spears was offered the track, recorded it, yet didn’t use it, leaving it to be snapped up by GaGa not long after)

‘The performance that shocked the world’ is no doubt how many will remember Madonna, Britney Spears, and Christina Aguilera‘s showing at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, this week’s classic From The Vault video. Featuring the now-infamous ‘kiss’, this medley of ‘Like A Virgin’, ‘Hollywood’, and the Missy-Elliott assisted ‘Work It’ certainly goes down in history as of music television’s most risqué moments. However, after re-watching this 7 years later, I can’t decide whether it was actually any good or just great car-crash television?!
Like most, it was awesome seeing such a celebrated artist like Madonna grace the stage with former chart-rivals Britney and Christina. However, judging by the amount of shade thrown in the audience (Mary J, 50 Cent & Eminem, Snoop…spot anymore?!) it seemed more laughable than anything else LOL. Judge for yourself, check out the vid above…
Randomness: Christina’s vocals were on fire! Britney’s had a great backing track…. ;-)
Superstar Beyonce struts to the stage to give a show-stopping performance at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards, which took place at Los Angeles’ Staples Center just hours ago. The 28 year old diva made history after winning 6 awards in one night, making her the first woman to achieve the feat in Grammy history!
Check out more pics from the industry’s most prestigious ceremony below, which include snaps of Rihanna, Jay-Z, Michael Jackson‘s children – who accepted the Lifetime Achievement Award for their late father, Lady GaGa, Britney Spears, Maxwell, Jennifer Lopez, Celine Dion, and Pink.
Music’s biggest night is finally here! Numerous celebrities are arriving for the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards ceremony at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Check out all of the action below:
She was once the most powerful force in Pop music; the heir apparent to the Pop dynasty. It seemed that at the turn of the century, there was no bigger star than Britney Spears. From show-stopping performances to worldwide #1 successes, she exploded onto the charts, toppling the long held reign of more established artists. However, the ‘fire’ that once made Spears the most sought after entertainer of her time appears to have been lost.
After a string of well-publicised personal turmoils, the world was made privy to Spears’ now notorious meltdown. Yet, the singer managed to rebound from those upsets and regain public favour with multiple chart-topping hits and platinum albums. Nonetheless, Spears seems different; the ‘spark’ in her eye is gone; and her live performances depict an entertainer who is but a shell of her former self.
Her energetic choreography has been replaced with awkward stage presence, and lip-syncing has become the norm of her entire productions (although many would argue that she rarely sang live in her earlier career as well). Regardless of the position that her music is now arguably at its best, the energy that Spears exudes in the studio no longer translates on stage. In fact, some critics assert that it is this decline in potency that allowed Beyonce to rise to the helm of the Pop charts.
This begs the question: has Spears permanently lost the ‘glint’ in her eye? Or does she stand a chance of returning to fine form? In any case, with mounting competition from her younger contemporaries including Lady GaGa and Rihanna, many contend that unless she is able to recapture that ‘magic’, her days as the Princess of Pop are surely numbered.
