Her latest album ‘Born This Way’ may have hit stores less than a year ago, but fans of Pop Empress Lady GaGa won’t have to wait too long before they can expect its follow up.
For just hours ago, the ‘Pokerface‘ maestra revealed that she has already began work on a brand new album whilst making preparations for the upcoming ‘Born This Way Ball‘.
All the details below…
Speaking to Ryan Seacrest, she confessed:
I’m actually already working on my next album. So I’ve been working on that.
I’ve been planning the next tour, which keeps me very excited and busy because I have lots of new ideas, and I know exactly how I want it to look.
Going onto add:
I’m also planning my next music video. I have lots of thing to do.
Like many of her fans, we here at That Grape Juice wonder if this new project be a ‘Born This Way’ re-release or an entirely separate stand alone project.
Re-release or not, here’s to hoping this new album sees Ms. ‘Hollywood‘ deliver material all can enjoy.
For whilst ‘The Fame Monster’ and ‘Born This Way‘ remain to be fan favorites, there are still some critics who feel GaGa abandoned certain demographics once she ended her much loved ‘The Fame’ era.
The Queen of Pop is unstoppable!!!! I can’t wait for new material from her.
I don’t think she’ll re-release BTW tbh.However, releasing a new album in 2012 and recording it while touring is a bit too much!I think it’s too soon (yet of course TGJ won’t bash her ala Rihanna).Anyway, I hope she can get it right this time because BTW is underwhelming.And she’d better NOT hype this album up as well because we all saw how that went this year…

This album was kind of a wash compared to her earlier success so it’s interesting she’s moving on so quickly.
She has to figure out her style/sound and singer she wants to be.
Sound wise there was a drastic shift between what initially appealed to people and made them like Gaga and what she put out on her 3(2nd)rd album. If she wants to be a singer who’s music is played in dance clubs or gay clubs (not a bad way to go) then she can definitely continue on the same path. If she wants to be generally well rounded she’s gonna have to find some balance.
This time around she definitely pulled a few tricks to pump up number of copies sold, next time there can’t be any .99 deals so the numbers will reflect what her quality of music is and how it’s received by people who won’t automatically rush out and buy an album. Who will wait to hear singles and decide if it’s worth it.

Exactly, I think Rihanna releases new music every year just to stay relevant because if she takes a break, people will forget about her and move on.

That’s why she lowers the cost of her ticket sales becuz she know ppl hardly come to them.
Gaga is a workaholic so her working on new material isn’t really shocking. In fact earlier this year she made short mention of it. Born This Way is a fantastic album and is doing quite well, just because Gaga may release something else sometime next year doesn’t mean its due to her current album doing badly.
I always look forward to what Gaga will do next because she is a true artist in every sense of the word. She has already delivered 2 great albums and 1 flawless EP.

I don’t have the energy to try and defeat that statement, just know it’s far from true. Rihanna does NOT lower her ticket sale just so her shows can sell out.She sells them out at REGULAR PRICE. She has a BIG and LOYAL fanbase. Her new single climbed to #2 on itunes without any promotion because her fans kept buying it. Her fans have alot to do with her success, you really need to open your eyes.
Also cheers got little to no promotion also and managed to climb to #9 on U.S. countries and have increasing airplay updates. That also has to do with her FANS.
Gaga is just trying win back that Urban audience that she lost with BTW..she will go more Urban crossover because Katy and Rihanna are killing her on the Rhythmic stations. Also, the 360 deal she has with Interscope encourages this, she’s a cow and they have to milk it. She can’t do what Adele does because her songs on Born This Way aren’t as Adele’s 21. Gaga needs to create an album with no less than 5 classic pop anthems, things people will remember. Nothing on BTW is even close to Bad Romance or Poker Face….

Born this Way did FLOP in a way. Usually when albums sell really high, like BTW did, in their first week, they usually drop dramatically on the charts and when an albums sales are steady, they usually last longer on the charts.
Yes BTW has remained steady on the 200 chart since it’s release but if it was EPIC and GROUNDBREAKING as everybody has made it out to be then it’d still be in the top 10 on the 200, or even top 5.

I dunno what everyone here is talking about with the whole “flop” business; yes the album hasn’t done nearly as well as it was supposed to in the US, but elsewhere it’s doing quite well. It’s been out for about four months now, has sold 5 mil in it’s first month, and another mil every other month since it’s release. By now, it’s sold about 7-9 mil worldwide. That’s a flop? Really? Rihanna’s has sold about 6 mil in 12 months, and even Adele’s has sold 11-12 mil in SEVEN months. Born This Way’s doing well, I don’t know why you’re all saying it hasn’t.

Because if it were up to me, which a lot of people feel the same way, that technically does not count as album sales. Why is it nobody includes digital sales with physical sales for other artists but they did for Gaga? To make her look relevant! That’s why!

I can’t believe we’re still going on about this. Where are you getting this 5 mil stuff? Twitter? That Tweet was made about a month after the album’s release. So, it has sold 5 million in a month. Now, back to me: According to her September interview with Jean-Paul Gaultier, she has sold a total of more than 25 million albums since her initial big break in the business. Since The Fame sold a little less than 13 million, The Fame Monster sold a little less than 3 million, and her other Remixes, EPs and the like sold another million, that leaves Born This Way with 7 million to 9 million, leaving leeway to possible extra sales of TF, TFM, or any others. Anyway, what’s up with you? What, did you just get a splinter or something? Or do you always act like an over-excited little girl?

^ I’m not even a Rihanna stan but to me it seems like her fanbase is stronger than Gaga or Katy, While gaga’s album sales have dropped with every album Rihanna’s have increased (except “Rated R”) and Katy is more of a singles artist anyway (although she’s doing well album wise atm) i see Rihanna outlasting them both, while Rihanna switches her style up she never comes across as “gimicky” like Gaga or Katy and pluss Rihanna is one of the biggest s** symbols out atm.

BTW has seriously flopped here as have the singles.
There are no Lady Gaga singles in the top 50. You and I and Judas barely made any appearance and recieved no airplay.

The album itself is a massive flop. Currently 182 on the itunes chart!!! This is unheard of. It went platinum 2 in the first month and dropped out of the top 100. Platinum 2 is pathetic for such a “big” artist.
As a comparision Adele’s Album is still number 1 with 3 singles in the top 30 and has gone Platinum 7!!
Lady gaga needs to release a new album asap – one that is not a copy of her old stuff… think Highway Unicorn and Poker face (same music) and one that is far less religious and more relevent to the youth of today!
