Jagged Edge take a mature step in the right direction with their new single ‘Ready’ today, releasing the love song before the October 27th release of their new album ‘J.E. Heartbreak 2.’

Why it’s a step in the right direction? It’s theme, which sees the quartet leave the club-hopping escapades to their genre sons (Chris Brown & Trey Songz) to court the ears of older audiences with talk of marriage, commitment and true love.

Good music from a great group, below…

Loved it! Glad their back and still releasing music.
Y’all need to post the Vlad interview of Jermaine Dupri saying that Chris Brown can be bigger than Tupac.

This is how you do it! THis is how you do it!!!! You hear the harmonies? You hear the growth? This is R&B, not that boring s*** some of these new singers put out and think is artistic.

I guess it is for older audiences, but I think more young people should learn to appreciate a mature sound with meaningful words. How did we get so far away from songs like “Let Me Love You”? No one’s doing that anymore.
