Katy Perry fans are concerned that the Pop powers-that-be are out to destroy her career.
Inundated by a wave of negative stories centred around the star’s music and personality, this morning has seen them met by a firestorm ignited by her decision to sport a John Galliano dress to last night’s MET Gala.
Now, as they learn of unconfirmed reports surrounding a video which claims to capture her making problematic remarks, her fans have taken to social media to reveal that they believe that someone is out to destroy her.

Everytime I see an “article” anywhere made from what a few people randomly said on Twitter I instantly think of basicness, bad writing, fake fans, rumours, ignorance… 🙂
About Katy possibly being sabotaged: I wish Taylor and Rihanna could be sabotaged too and mainstream music could finally free itself from the basicness it has lived these last few years.
Is this becoming a tradition in pop and the music industry in general? They build you up as a pop idol when you’re in your early/mid 20s then once you’re nearly 30 they’ll load you with stones until you sink at the bottom? Xtina with Bionic, Beyonce with 4, Gaga with Artpop, Spears with Britney Jean, the list goes on. So is it Katy Perry’s turn to have a flop era now?

Nobody’s sabotaging her. It’s just a series of bad decisions by Katy, her label and management. I’m no Taylor fan, but I’m sure she has better things to do than plot Katy Perry’s downfall
Come on, there’s a pattern here. It has been bad decision after bad decision after bad decision, plus an ample supply of bad press. Either it is true, somebody is sabotaging her, or it’s just her turn to be at the beating end of the media now that it’s replacement season and younger pop artists have popped up (Zara, Selena, Ariana Grande, Fifth Harmony).
Gaga went through it, it’s Katy’s turn. Taylor is next.

Katy isn’t being sabotaged. Katy has been riding the high of Teenage Dream and has been slowly but surely coming down since. Prism sucked. If it weren’t for “roar” and “dark horse” it probably would’ve tanked. Now she’s back with no smash single to save her, chasing the success of before. The formula of chasing former success never fails to sink a ship.
That one time Katy Kats said that Katy ended Gaga during the Artpop era. Fast forward to 2017 and Gaga is selling out stadiums and Katy is being dragged for filth. Unfortunately for the Kat’s, Gaga bounced back on the back of her talent and versatility. Can’t say that I see the same happening for their fave.
While it seems like this “sabotage” mess is just an excuse from her fans that don’t want to accept that she’s just flopping, you have to admit that the bad press she’s been receiving lately does seem kinda suspect.
Katy has been suffering from allegations of homophobia, racism and antisemitism in the space of 2 weeks. Someone is really out to get her.

Katy is lame. She’s always been lame. Her music is horrible and she’s a non-talent. She’s like a Kardashian cousin with paler skin. Shame on the rest of you for not catching on to this rather obvious sequitur sooner, but better late than never, I guess. But because you were all so late, I’m not only stuck with horrible memories of that awful “Teenage Dream” period that people were too dense to reject at the time, I’m also burdened to continue to be occasionally assaulted with it whenever I go to the gym, mall or supermarket. Start picking better pop stars.
