Chloe x Halle To Perform At The Super Bowl 2019

Published: Sunday 20th Jan 2019 by Sam

With the Super Bowl fast approaching, the NFL are unveiling their musical plans for the big game – and Beyonce protégés Chloe x Halle are the latest to join line-up.

Details below…

In a statement made moments ago, it was announced that the super talented sisters will take center-stage to perform ‘America The Beautiful’ at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium on February 3rd.

The hometown duo will appear on a bill that is stacked with Black talent – case in point National Anthem singer Gladys Knight and Travis Scott and Big Boi who are performing alongside Halftime headliners Maroon 5.

Said point is notable given the intense debate surrounding the participation of Black artists in this year’s festivities – following the fall-out from Colin Kaepernick‘s kneeling protest.

Look out for Grammy nominees Chloe x Halle, along with the above-mentioned, on February 3rd.

So I guess you won’t drag them like you did Travis since they’re associated with Beyonce….the hypocrisy jumped out.

So Beyonce isn’t going to get the same criticism as Gladys or Travis, as much as she talks about standing up for us? Wow… ok.

Why would she? Just because they are signed under her doesn’t mean she can decide which offers they will and won’t accept. That’s not her job, if it was offered to them it was her JOB to inform them of the offer and it was THEIR decision to decide rather or not they wanted the opportunity. Her deciding their career fate based off of her personal opinion would be completely unethical. You want her dragged for something that’s apples and organges

Career advice is not unethical. That’s what business execs, agents, managers, and mentors do, and Beyonce acts unofficially in every one of those roles for these girls. They have talked in length about how much they listen to and adore Beyonce, so it’s clear they are being guided by her.

Beyonce can give them all of the advice she wants and it still doesn’t matter. Chloe and Halle decided to perform. End of story.

I didn’t say that giving them advice was unethical. I said making career decisions for them based off of her own political and personal position regarding the Super Bowl is unethical. You can be inspired by someone and under their guidance and still make your own decisions and have your own personal beliefs as they obviously do. Unless you were there in those meetings to hear her encourage them or give her personal approval of them performing at the Super Bowl your point is mute. So like I said before she did her job, which was to present the offer that was given and it was up to THEM to make that career decision.
