Rising rapper Saweetie is ready to scorch this summer and makes that agenda clear in the video for new single ‘My Type.’
The bop, which samples Petey Pablo’s ‘Freek-A-Leek,’ is lifted from her recently released album ‘ICY.’
For its visual, the femcee tapped director DAPS (notable for his work with Migos, the City Girls + Cardi B).

Finally she release a video. I thought she was going to let her 1 minute of fame slip away. Well let’s see what this video does for the song.
I like Saweetie but she really ain’t a rapper rapper. Like she’s good, but she isn’t good good. Her songs are cute, but nothing great. She hasn’t had a stand out track yet like a Bodak Yellow, Anaconda, or hell even a Fancy. She rap like she’s gum.
Side note: these little mixed black girls like Saweetie and Cardi B say the N word the most in their songs more than the dark skinned girls ?
It’s because they dating offset and quavo so they feel superior.

Dear haters of Cardi B and this young lady here.. by definition rapping is = a musical form of vocal delivery that incorporates “rhyme, rhythmic speech, and street vernacular”, which is performed or chanted in a variety of ways, usually over a backing beat or musical accompaniment. The components of rap include “content”, “flow”, and “delivery”.
Rapping does not include nor require the rapper to write. Song writing is a skill set that lives alone but supports a music artist. You can be good without it but be made better with it.
Like Cardi B, she’s a rapper and entertainer. She’s just not as good. However, she’s not trash and she looks super good? and she has an overall good image w/ cool songs. I actually want her to blow up. She’s has the.. every girl wants to be her and every dude want to f*** her thing. I would definitely shoot my shot and feature her on a song.
She’s very attractive, but her videos and her verses have absolutely NO replay value.

I watched the video and I’m not crazy about it. The sound reminds me of an old crunk Ciara song. Nothing original from the voice or the flow neither. That’s just my personal point of view anyway but I wish her the best.
