Beyonce Readying ‘Black Is King’ Release In Africa

Published: Saturday 4th Jul 2020 by Sam

Beyonce set the net ablaze last week with the surprise announcement of Disney+ movie ‘Black Is King.’

Based on album ‘The Lion King: The Gift,’ the long-form visual sees Queen Bey team with African artists, directors, dancers, and more to celebrate the regality of the Motherland.

In production for over a year, the hotly anticipated flick arrives on the streamer – which boasts over 50 million subscribers – on July 31st.

One question that has hovered is how those in Africa can tune in, given that the service isn’t tipped to arrive on the continent until 2021.

Well, it appears plans are in motion. See what we mean below…

Once again clapping back at critics, the singer’s mom Tina Knowles-Lawson revealed:

“You will be able to see the movie she is working hard as usual to get the movie shown in Africa of course you would prefer to focus on the negative!! I hope you put this same energy in dealing with the oppression that goes on in Africa all the time by the white people!🙏🏾❤️”

They are still not gonna be happy.. thry gonna still talk crap about her soooo… But congrats on her doing something amazing for the people of Africa that wants to see it

She literally adds one comma or one word to a song and puts her name on the credits (a lot of her past collaborators have already told that), and they want to convince us she released a movie on her own?
Shut up gurl, she is criticize because she don’t do as much as her pears for instance Alicia Keys, MIA, Oprah or even the estates of Prince and MJ but when she does something everybody has to knee in from of her like she’s the Queen of the world.
I’m sorry, but I thank her for what she’s doing for our race but there’s a lot of celebrities that make so much and aren’t even recognize for it.

      • Anthony July 4, 2020

Lmao NO ONE said that. Stop lying b****! She didn’t win a SONGWRITERS ASCAP by inserting commas! Stay mad and broke h**

Stfu, everything she does it’s an issue, she sneeze it’s a issue, this lady literally does nothing for people to not like her. She is the only celebrity who hasn’t had a bad scandal behind her name, and turn her entire career into why she is unapologetically black, not too many artist shine the light on our culture especially celebrities that has huge platforms like Bey. Regardless of what y’all say her message is still being heard and people will still watch and understand the message.

I think people want to go viral at every chance they get even if it’s dating something ridiculous about Beyoncé. They need to put that energy into listening to #blackparade and get on board.

    • Justme July 4, 2020

Right.. I think there is gonna be a black parade video too🤔🤔🤔

I don’t really see the point Africans don’t really care or need an American showing them their excellence from her point of view. Plus it’s a homage of different cultures put together from what I could see on the clip. A Ndebele has nothing in common with a Igbo. She should just leave this to the diaspora

    • You’ll Gag July 4, 2020

Uhm people in different areas of Africa were asking how they could watch…….

  5. Clarks0o0ñ July 4, 2020

She still hasnt addressed her black face photos.

  6. Pat July 4, 2020

I appreciate her efforts. The current climate calls for authentic representations of blackness so this is gonna be controversial. Also With all the harmful skin bleaching due to chasing homogenized American beauty standards The light skin queen of all blackness Theme is going to backfire at some point

Something feels like she is slowly stepping away from solo mainstream music and going into more behind the scenes work (producing, writing, developing, acting). I’m proud of her even though I would love more music, but I dont think she’s inspired to do B7 right now. She has her hands in other projects with alot more creative freedom and adds to her legendary status.

    • Jelly July 4, 2020

Well can’t do B7 right now due to C****

      • Tori July 4, 2020

Even if we weren’t in a pandemic, I doubt she would L d care to release music. Its become a background to everything shes doing and thats okay. And do you honestly think she would hault a release because of c**** when the MOST she would do for her album was make videos and she could do that at home and you know she’ll include out as footage. Shes releasing this in the middle of the pandemic. Its not like shes bing on promotion anymore or interacting with the GP. This would be the perfect time for her and yet shes releasing this…

  9. High Price July 4, 2020

Welp, the Africans got their wish! I don’t see why it wasn’t slated to show there in the first place along with the states!

She should move over there with her mom, if they are so oppressed like she says. Go help your motherland. Be true to your talk. Donate your life and time. Dont talk about helping then come back to America where it’s safe for you and you can live in your lavish lifestyle. I think when you talk about another country and talk about its issues and you have money, then shut up and go give up your luxury life and donate it, to the oppressed people or hush your mouth because your just being a hypocrite.
