Mya may have celebrated her 41st birthday over the weekend (October 10), but it appears the GRAMMY winner is the one handing out gifts.
Case in point? Her new song ‘I Deserve It.’
Believed to be lifted off her forthcoming project – her first since 2018’s independently served ‘TKO’ – the MYGUYMARS-produced cut sees the diva sing about going back and forth with after unintentionally lowering her guard for a new lover.
“Pour me a shot right away / Cause my mind is goin’ crazy / Ooh I know I done! F*ckin’ did it / I done fell so deep in love with this nigga / We started right away / I didn’t plan on it oh baby / All of the sudden sh*t was so confusin’,” she sings on the piano-driven track.

I listen to every new song from her with hope that it will be one step closer to another Moodring. Mya is more talented than this song.
That’s what I’m sayin. She needs a stronger team behind her. One that can influence her creativity to get back to that unique Mya sound.
