Happy Memorial Day from the That Grape Juice family to yours!

To ode the brave men and women who fight to protect our countries (on both sides of the pond), we’ve assembled a collection of military-themed music videos that we’ve grown to love over the years.

From Mariah Carey’s ‘I Still Believe’ to the iconic Janet Jackson‘s ‘Rhythm Nation’, the efforts of military servicemen and women have long stood as muses for some of music’s most memorable videos.

Take a look below for our faves and share some of your own:

In no particular order:

Rihanna – Hard

Katy Perry – Part of Me

Mariah Carey – I Still Believe

Cher – If I Could Turn Back Time

Madonna – American Life

Chris Brown – Don’t Judge Me

Trey Songz ft. Keri Hilson – Your Side of the Bed

Monifah – Touch It

Janet Jackson – Rhythm Nation

Michael Jackson – They Don’t Care About Us

Christina Aguilera – Candy Man

Ciara – Gimme Dat

Destiny’s Child – Survivor

…and of course

Whitney Houston’s ‘Welcome Home Heroes’ Rendition of the “Star Spangled Banner”

Wow… Unbelievable.. My friend Emily has just married to a handsome wealthy black manThey met through ~~MìxedMatchìng.Çoм ~~Serious interracial dating is an ideal platform for afro romance for black & white singles. So, if you want to look for people with which you can date, you are at the right place. You can meet(lawyers, busy professionals, benefactors. models, celebrities, etc….)If you are single, perhaps you can have a try.

I think over half of these videos glamorize the military and real war… Trey Songz, Katy Perry and maybe Chris Brown did it right. But seriously Candy Man??

    • Adrian May 27, 2013

The military is filled with real women and men who do enjoy a smile during their day. I get what you’re saying, but this was just military-THEMED, not “Based On A True Story.”

i’m shocked to see cher’s “if i could turn back time” here. and this is my first time seeing madonna’s real “american life” video. i looove it much better than that cheap s*** that was on tv

  15. DOSSOME May 27, 2013

RHYTHM NATION is the BOMB…Infact the impact of this video can be seen in Michael’s HIStory and it’s accompanying world tour besides several of today’s music artists…

oooh, and look at how gorgeous Mariah is in I STILL BELIEVE channeling MARILYN MONROE,I love this woman

    • JOHNVIDAL May 27, 2013

The two best videos in this post. Kids choosing the lessors as always though… 🙂

      • DOSSOME May 27, 2013

Judging by the way they downplay legends on this site,i’m not surprised

    • S****** Blonde May 27, 2013

Marilyn Monroe was/is the most beautiful woman ever, Mariah, Madonna and others look like clowns while trying to imitate her.

      • DOSSOME May 27, 2013

speak for your fave,Mariah don’t look like anybody’s clown in this video 🙂 🙂 🙂 …she was channeling marilyn, not imitating.

      • S****** Blonde May 27, 2013

Channeling or Imitating, i have never seen a woman do Marilyn justice, just not, just to think about all these women trying to be her, eww!!!!.

      • DOSSOME May 27, 2013

DAMN,They’re only paying homage…they aren’t trying to be her.I know i’ll never win this argument but i think MC did a good job on I STILL BELIEVE just as MADGE did a brilliant job in LIVE TO TELL paying homage to MARILYN

  16. MariahIsMusic1 May 27, 2013

  18. rihking May 27, 2013

    LOL ci-errors gimmi dat?

  19. Music May 27, 2013

Candy man was a cute video. I loved rhythm nation also.

  20. jason May 27, 2013

I would say Mariah and Rihanna kinda embody the theme the most. Mariah really went 100% with the whole Marilyn Monroe look and actually filmed with the troops so that was kool.

I love Rihanna’s costuming and the videos concept really works!

  21. S****** Blonde May 27, 2013

Janet Jackson‘s ‘Rhythm Nation and Madonna’s American Life are the best.

  22. yooooooooo (keristan) May 30, 2013

  23. Mike June 1, 2013

    Janet Jackson’s “Rhythm Nation”, obviously.
