As the world sombrely remembers the lives lost in the tragic 9/11 attacks, R&B star Ciara led the tribute on ‘The View.’
Backed by a pianist and BV’s The Girlz, CiCi roused with a respectable rendition of Michael Jackson’s still-apt hit ‘Heal The World.’
Many will recall, the 29-year-old first tackled the track back in at 2009 at the BET Awards in honour of the King of Pop who died just days prior.

She did a great job like I thought she would. In fact she did so good that I’m sure the audience wouldn’t mind if she justt went ahead and performed “Will You Be There”. I bet Micheal is clapping and smiling in his grave right now. I’m sure that he would love Ciara just like Janet if he were alive.
Sidenote: Everywhere around me was kind of weird today. It seemed like everyone forgot about 9/11 or just didnt care. The world is changing quickly, so make sure you stay aware of the times.
I know alot of people think Ciara has a thin voice and she cant sing, but to be honest with you ALL of her live performances of “Body Party” during her selftitled era were exceptional and vocally-triumphant. That album was everything and I’m still pissed she didnt add “Got Me Good” and “Sorry” to the final tracklist.
You know what, the message is more important, so with that said, good job Ciara.

I didn’t know it was Ciara. The TV was playing in another room. My first thought is..that’s not MJ. Then why is someone singing this and it’s not his birthday or anniversary of his death. It sounded amateurish so I put on headphones and started listening to something else so I wouldn’t have to hear it anymore. I didn’t know it was Ciara until later in the day when the net started chirping about it. She needs to focus on what she’s good at. Which is dancing while flat singing over a backing track. She doesn’t have a good enough singing voice for her to do songs like that. After the National Anthem attempt I thought she and her people would know better.

Listen to Giving Up by Aaliyah *recorded at 22yrs old* and then come back and listen to this. Ciara’s voice is non-existent and the facial expressions like she’s serving are even more annoying. Those background singers must be pissed that they’re providing BV’s for an act than plain cannot sing. Enough already. How much money has gone into this girl over the years while actually talented singers continue to struggle?!

Im a fan of this girl, but lets face it, shes been in the industry since what..? 17? shes 29 now and shes still struggling.. THIS SONG IS NOT EVEN THAT HARD TO SING, WHAT IS SHE VOCALLY STRUGGLING OVER? THIS IS SOOO FRUSTRATING IM STARTING TO GET PISSED. ive been defending her for so long! she has very little improvement. she needs to start working on her control and move on from tone training. why hasnt her team said anything, why are they lying to her? just tell her she needs to improve or drop her. x__x
