Adele is making a beeline for the Grammy Awards 2016.

The Brit-bred songstress was not eligible for any nominations at this year’s ceremony as ‘Hello’ and its housing album ’25’ were both released after the September 30th cut-off point in 2015.

Still, that hasn’t stopped the committee from tapping the belter to perform at the 58th Annual ceremony on February 15th.

More info below…

As well as Ms. Adkins, multiple nominees The Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar will also be gracing the Grammy stage (which this year has been erected at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.)

Rounding out the list of “formally” announced performers are Little Big Town.

Speaking on the announcement, Recording Academy CEO Neil Portnow said in a statement:

“This lineup of talented artists is just the beginning of what will, once again, prove to be music’s biggest night. We look forward to celebrating what’s been a wonderful year in music, honoring the best of the best and featuring never-before-seen performances.”  {Source}

A commercial featuring Rihanna essentially confirmed her involvement too, but we imagine that’s being touted as a “we’ve told you, but aren’t quite telling you” surprise…of sorts. Sounds as confusing as her album campaign to be frank.

Nonetheless, it’s a solid first batch of artists named here.

Hopefully, with ‘Hello’ having cleared the billion views mark, Adele will use this platform to officially launch its follow-up ‘When We Were Young’ or perhaps something different.

Rihanna will be overshadowed again lol

    • Janet January 20, 2016

With Adele’s b*** being the size it is, she will likely overshadow everyone. She is like a human eclipse girl

      • Kayla C January 20, 2016

        So gay

      • Christina Aguilera January 20, 2016

Ri will show her p**** on stage and will be the talk of the evening

  2. Jamie January 20, 2016

    Looking forward to Adele.

  3. LmfaoHoe January 20, 2016

I’ve gone to the point where I’ll rather wait to see certain performances on YouTube then to check for people I don’t care for. Top of that lol I’m doing my own boycotting the Grammys you will not be getting no views for me. And if Kendrick, J Cole, Dangelo, Leon Bridges, and my girl Jazmine Sullivan leave empty handed they can kiss my ass

    • Janet January 20, 2016

Why are you so mad? None of the artists you mentioned did any good material this year.

      • LmfaoHoe January 20, 2016

I’m not mad girl just keeping it real, but what do you mean they didn’t release good msterial albums?? Cause Kendricks TPAB, D Angelo’s Black Messiah, Leon’s Coming Home, and Jazmin’s Reality Show were great body of art and recieved good acclaim and are selling very well hence why their nominated !

      • LmfaoHoe January 20, 2016

Also J Cole album Forest Hill was great too, and scan platinum with no promo or features, an hip hop album that hasn’t done that in over 20 years that’s a big win for the culture itself on his success.

Can Jasmine Sullivan get a performance or at least do a Natalie Cole tribute or something. Let her get some exposure. #Jasmineneedstoperform@theGrammys.

    • Janet January 20, 2016

      Who?

      • Sean January 21, 2016

Don’t try Jazmine she’s incredible and def needs exposure…shes going home with Grammys this year just watch

    King K DoT!

  6. Walker January 20, 2016

LOL! I saw this coming. No way was Adele NOT going to be performing at the Grammys. Rihanna thought she could sneak in there and shift the attention to her. Adele ain’t letting that happen.

    • blue January 20, 2016

you do realise that cbs could have gotten adele to do the commercial but they went with the girl that called them out on their bull not too long ago. Rihanna aint trying to take attention from anyone, she has been on that stage before and held her very own.

  7. Lou January 20, 2016

And I guarantee there will be a tribute performance to David Bowie and the recent deceased members of the Eagles and Motorhead bands but none for…

    Natalie Cole.

I want Jamie Sullivan to perform or a medley sung by various R&B/Soul acts.

There better be a Hip-Hop performance too.

I’m tired of the typical Pop/Rock acts performing although I don’t mind Alabama Shakes, they’re pretty awesome.

Rihanna is gonna release anti the night of the grammys???

    • Truth January 20, 2016

Let her. Adele’s performance will guarantee that ’25’ remains number one. Foiled again. Riri is gonna be running from Adele all year at this rate. She may as well just put the album out, do the expected under 200k first week sales and settle for the #2 or #3 chart peak.

      • LmfaoHoe January 20, 2016

Lord have mercy I didn’t think of that, just when ppl thought they were safe from Adele s slayage. B**** gonna be the talk of the night like a few years back.

      • blue January 20, 2016

the fact that you think 200k first week is bad when it ends in 1mil.

      • Truth January 20, 2016

I said “under 200k,” but the truth is that anything under 300k is bad for someone who is supposed to be a leading popstar of the moment with a supposedly anticipated album. And taking a whole calendar year to barely crawl to a million in sales is not impressive either.

      • blue January 20, 2016

honey any album to do 1mil in this climate is impressive. And rihanna has never done anything above 200k so if she does under 200k and finishes with over 1mil in the usa and avout 4mil ww, not only is that impressive (only a handful of artist can pull those number), but it will be in line with her usual numbers.

  9. Ciah’s Turtle January 20, 2016

Yea, Jazmine should’ve always been performing also.

  10. XoMoDe January 20, 2016

    25 just won’t stop bullying Anti…

  11. LmfaoHoe January 20, 2016

I already know they’re going to give David Bowie a tribute but what about my girl Natalie Cole ? Com on now. Cause we will let them racist old bitchess know we ain’t here for snubbing of our great talents.

  12. Career Ender January 20, 2016

Adele gon sell 500k+ after performing
    .
another reason AntiChrist won’t grace planet earth

  14. #JACKIE January 20, 2016

Haaaaa Rihanna loses yet again. At this rate, Blue Ivy will have graduated college before Anti gets a release date. LOSERhanna <

  15. blue January 20, 2016

are u even a ciara fan? Cause it seems you do more rihanna hating then ciara loving. At least the beyhive/navy support their faves in addition to hating on each other…you simply serve no purpose besides getting ciara hated on.

    • #JACKIE January 20, 2016

Don’t worry about me sis. Focus on Rihanna’s album that’s currently posted on the back of milk cartons nationwide. “HAVE YOU SEEN ME?”

  16. RihYonce January 20, 2016

Damn Rih better pull some tricks out her bag that night , I hope Cole wins a Grammy not enough good performers for me to decide if I should watch or not but I’ll watch adele perform

  17. RASHAD January 20, 2016

Oh this should be good (giggles)

  18. Kitty Puurrzz January 20, 2016

All of the performers listed are a bore MINUS Rih. I hope Xtina does a Natalie Cole tribute/

  19. Meteorite January 20, 2016

If Christina Aguilera, Jazmine Sullivan and Fantasia could do a tribute to Natalie Cole is I would be in heaven!!!

  20. HailBeysus January 21, 2016

YAAAASSSS HAUNTA!! ! Adele gunna slay the Grammys. Poor Hoeanna, is just going to have to settle for a 2020 release. Maybe she actually get a LEAD ROLE in a Movie and fall back on a B list acting career Kiii!!!!
