Whitney Houston‘s estate has learned that a brand new  documentary is being crafted to celebrate the  late singer’s life.

The controversial creative Nick Broomfield is to produce the tell-all documentary, seeking to dig deeper than any other project dedicated to the iconic performer has gone before.

Its home? The U.K’s BBC Two.

The network revealed:

It will go in search of the forces that made and then destroyed the singer who has been described as having one of the greatest voices of the last 50 years.

After learning of the forthcoming release, a Whitney rep issued the following statement to Billboard.

The Whitney Houston Estate has no involvement in that film whatsoever.

Why this is the case?

Broomfield’s ‘Kurt and Courtney’, a tell-all project on Kurt Cobain, suggested his lover Courtney Love played a part in his death.

Love, who was deeply hurt by the insinuation, denies this.
