Leona Lewis remains one of modern music’s most gifted vocalists – a title she lived up to on ITV special ‘A Night For The Emergency Services.’
The X Factor winner was one of numerous names on hand to salute the brave men and women who risk their lives daily to save those of others.
Joined by the Cheshire Fire Choir, she wowed with a rousing rendition of Simon & Garfunkel classic ‘Bridge Over Troubled Water.’
Watch Leona take vocal flight after the jump…
Those last few runs were sensational and easily stand as the most strong her voice has sounded in a long while.
We know the Londoner has been recording new music; so, here’s hoping she’s pairing her powerful pipes with equally compelling material. We can’t wait to hear it!

She’s a great vocalist and will always get work, but her time to be the next Mariah or Whitney has well and truly passed.
Nobody can be the next them. They are superior. Any new artists called such thing are bound to fail.
This could easily been considered the 2017 best VOCAL performance!
At the end, what really let you been remembered is YOUR VOICE. And Leona Lewis is THE Voice!
Haters can always say what they want, but the truth is that Leona can be compared with no one in the industry.
She can yes but she comes off as arrogant to me. Passing on We Found Love was career s******.
I adore ‘We Found Love’, mostly because it’s sung by Rihanna and has that gorgeous video, Leona couldn’t make it a hit, she doesn’t have the charisma for that.
Great vocals on this cover though!
I knew this was going to be a mess as soon as I saw the all white choir…Didn’t even know such existed.
Well, this is the UK we are talking about
Breathtaking, this is how you perform live. Leona always takes a song to the next level. The note at the end wow! Her career hasnt peaked yet. She has been a golden globe, and grammy nominated artist. Other artists sell s**, she stays classy and true to her ethics and values. Over 30 million records sold worldwide. EAT that haters.
IMO she should have had an POC Baptist choir she would have raised the roof, I couldn’t quite take the choral side serious…?
Enough of “She’s the next this, she’s the next that” She’s LEONA LEWIS! And unlike most artists who sell music through s**, gimmicks, publicity stunts etc. she’s renowned for her *voice*! It’s a shame that Syco (Simon) wasted a lot of good years with her (she could have been as huge as Beyonce, Adele etc). Anyways I don’t think it’s too late; fingers crossed!
