Confirmation came courtesy of creator Pete Nowalk, who took to Twitter to announce the news:
With former lead-in ‘Scandal’ wrapped for good, it’ll be interesting to see what the repackaged #TGIT block of Shondaland programming looks like come the Fall TV season. Will ‘Murder’ be paired more closely with (the also renewed) ‘Greys Anatomy’ or will new show be sandwiched in between? Time will tell.
As for what fans of the Viola Davis led show can expect for its fifth run? During the march finale of the fourth season, we left Annalise and co celebrating the win of the class action lawsuit (no doubt making enemies of the defeated), while a mysterious new Middleton student is touted as being the son of one of the show’s main characters. Put simply, more mayhem looks to be around the corner!
