Pink Receives Star On Hollywood Walk Of Fame / Announces New Album ‘Hurts To Be Human’

Published: Wednesday 6th Feb 2019 by Sam

Over the course of two decades, Pink has amassed achievements that will see her remembered as one of the greats of her time.

And, as said accolades saw her honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame, the eclectic songstress revealed that her next musical chapter is right around  the corner.

Full story below…

Surrounded by her husband Carey Hart and their two children, the 39-year-old was cheered on as her name was immortalised on the famed Los Angeles strip.

Speaking on the “surreal” honor, she added:

“I feel like I’m dreaming and if anyone pinches me, I’m gonna punch them in the left eyebrow.

I feel like a lot of people probably only thought I would make it to the walk of shame, but here I am.”

She went on to salute her father, who she says pushed her to pursue her biggest, boldest dreams and encouraged others to look within and have faith in self:

“Today for me is a celebration of something that my dad taught me and that is — to thine own self be true.

There is a power in believing in yourself, there is a power in not giving up on life and not giving up on yourself. “

Prior to the ceremony, Pink stopped by the Ellen show. During the appearance, which airs on today’s broadcast, she revealed that not only is she dropping a new song ‘Walk Me Home’ in a matter of weeks but will be releasing her eighth studio album in April. She confirmed its title as ‘Hurts To Be Human.’

Peep clips below…

Pink’s last studio effort ‘Beautiful Trauma’ was released in 2017 and earned the star her highest first week sales in the US (408,000). The project went on to sell 1.8 million copies globally and birthed global hit ‘What About Us?’

We’re all sorts of excited for new Pink. Are you?

P!nk is a vocal BEAST, her first album is in rotation daily for me!! P!nk really knows her tones and will kill, hopefully she’s apart of the Motown celebration she’s a great voice, since they’re giving J-Lo a darn chance with her flat alto tones!!??‍♂️

I got a tingle in my spine and all over my body when i read this. Pink is that type of artist that when she resurfaces it’s such a moment! I love her for her bravery to say things in the way she wants to say it! That matched with her rock/soul voice is so satisfying And I can imagine what this album is going to be like because we need it in this moment

Pink is talented, but her music does nothing for me anymore.

Most underrated popstar ever. Yeah she’s successful but she never fully gets the credit she deserves.

Super happy for new music from her. Wouldnt be made if she or JLo did the next Superbowl so long as JLo doesn’t do the the overdone Jazz/Vegas styling

The problem with her is that her music is SO generic and ready for radio.

Her albums always have something I like, and she gives an incredible show with 110% energy every time she goes out on tour. When it’s Pink, I always get a seat close to the stage. What other artist would dare to perform on the side of a high-rise building? That was LEGENDARY!!
