As if it was possible for Las Vegas to get any hotter, its soon-to-be newest resident – superstar rapper Drake – has turned up the heat tenfold with official reports that he’s entered a partnership with Wynn Las Vegas.
Just a month after That Grape Juice first reported rumors Drizzy was set to bring his hits ‘In My Feelings,’ ‘Hotline Bling,’ ‘God’s Plan,’ and more to Sin City as the latest in a slew of Urban acts jetting to call the Vegas Strip home (click here to read), an announcement has been unveiled to confirm the news of his residency.

The high profile emcee will perform five shows at the XS Nightclub beginning May 4. The slew of shows, set to coincide with the 10-year anniversary of the club, will reportedly “include a brand new stage and cutting-edge production” in the club space, according to the press release that revealed the news.
“It’s an absolute honor to welcome Drake to the Wynn family. Drake and Wynn Las Vegas are planning on bringing something spectacular to the stage at XS,” Alex Cordova, managing partner of Wynn Nightlife said in a statement. “We are redefining nightlife and anchoring our new vision with one of the most celebrated artists of this decade. Our team is thrilled with the endless possibilities of partnering with such a creative force.” [source]

STOP calling this bullsh|t “residencies”. These entertainers are merely signing on to perform 7-10 shows at one location in Vegas. It’s a damn tour stop with repeated performances at the same venue. The term RESIDENCY has been so watered down now & im SICK TO DEATH of every celebrity with a mic now being GIVEN what use to be an exclusive opportunity. THIS IS SO LAME!!
