In a heartfelt message on Instagram, the Hollywood legend revealed that his partner had privately been battling breast cancer for two years.
Preston, who notably starred in ‘Jerry Maguire,’ died today (Sunday) aged 57.
Travolta shared the news by writing:
It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many. My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side. Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while. But please know that I will feel your outpouring of love in the weeks and months ahead as we heal.
All my love,
JT

Preston is survived by her husband and their children Ella Blue and Benjamin. Their son Jett, who was autistic, died in 2009 from a seizure.
Our thoughts and prayers remain with Preston’s loved ones.
Omg this is so sad. 🙏🏾
All the death that has swept over the nation is insanely scary and leaves me without peace. This has been the year to really focus and love the people in our lives and love ourselves because people are dying ever hour at this rate.
RIP to this beautiful woman and may God keep and comfort her husband and family!
May god bless the Travolta family. I hope that he brings them peace during this trying time and comfort knowing Kelly is not suffering any longer!!!
