Music legend Chaka Khan is speaking out.
For, she is now recalling what it felt like when Kanye West sampled her for his song ‘Though The Wire.’
Full story below…
Khan appeared on ‘Good Day DC’ on August 1 to promote her new single ‘Woman Like Me’ when host Marissa Mitchell brought up her much-publicized distaste for West’s sampling of her song ‘Through The Fire.’
She said that that the sample made her “upset about sounding like a chipmunk.”
What’s more, she went on to reveal if she and Ye have ever spoken about the matter, to which, she said: “[Kanye] didn’t mention that he was gonna speed it up, you know, three times its normal speed. Had he, I would’ve had something to say. But since I didn’t think of that, believe me, I think of it now. I ask, ‘How are we gonna do this?’”
Khan previously shared on ‘Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen’ back in 2019 that the finished product of the song was “stupid” and had she known what the finished product was going to be she would’ve said “Hell no.”

Chaka is an unhinged drunken coke head. We get it miss mamas. You don’t have to express it again and again. The song is almost 20 years old now. What do you want us to do with this info.
Chaka is also a fxxking legend. Put some respect of her name!!!
LMAOOOOOOOOOO!! Calm down 🤣
Girl stfu you were so appreciative for the song 15+ years ago now you mad? Girl I’m not playing with you today. Are you bored?
