Lizzo is making history once more.
This time around, she has been invited to play her flute at James Madison‘s home.

The home, called called Montpelier, is a museum and memorial to the former president. The museum tweeted the news that Lizzo would be performing there.
Earlier this month, Lizzo got the privilege to play his crystal flute when the Library of Congress invited her to come check out their flute collection.
What’s more, she was also allowed to play it at her concert in Washington D.C.
She played a few notes and announced that she had made history as the first person to play the flute in 200 years.
In a representative for Montpelier said of the event: “Lizzo brought history to life when she played Madison’s flute at a packed concert in Washington, D.C. last week.”
“We are overjoyed that Lizzo shared the now famous instrument’s beautiful music with the world, as her songs are an example of how music is a universal language that brings people together,” it continued.
However, her action drew criticism from controversial commentator Candace Owens, who criticized her for twerking and playing the flute. Owens claims that Lizzo “offended” her by a ““defiling of history” (as we reported here).
