Mo’Nique is back in business – with Netflix!
The Oscar, Golden Globe, and BAFTA winner is placing past dramas in rearview and has joined forces with the streamer for an array of new projects including her brand new stand-up comedy special.
Aptly titled ‘My Name is Mo’Nique,’ the set – which is executive produced by Mo’Nique and husband-manager Sidney Hicks – is “filled with laugh till you cry stories as well as soul bearing emotion.”
Premiering April 4, the L. Frazier-directed special struts onto screens ahead of the star’s new Netflix film ‘The Deliverance’ – which sees her reunite with Lee Daniels.

So I guess the public done dragging her….
They have to be, she did it her way and the haters are fuming. STILL got her way! In time. Trust the process.
Sorry but this doesn’t look funny. Sommores special wasn’t funny either.
She’s not funny, but she is AWFUL.
She also doesn’t pay her bills to black owned businesses, so F this fat ugly Btch!
Monique went in on all the successful BM in Hollyweird while being married to a man who couldn’t even help with her own career SMH!
Get behind men who can make sh** happen and you want have these f*ckin’ problems….
You stomped, kicked and screamed like a child and finally got ur way…
Congrats!!!
I love “Monique” for more reasons than there is space or time to express. Monique did not compromise her dignity and for that I will always continue to support her BIG! Thank you Monique the example you set reverberates throughout the entire universe!
I’m glad Mo’Nique is back she’s a wonderful talented and comical person.
The black balling was a Disgrace.
Thank you Netflix and Lee Daniels for bringing comedy and joy back to entertainment world.
She needs a weekly sitcom.
