Megan Thee Stallion‘s ‘Cobra‘ is sinking its teeth into the Hot 100 in a big way.
Peruse of the updated Hot 100 sees Megan Thee Stallion printed at #32 with her controversial new hit ‘Cobra.’ Here are the numbers that powered the placement.
- Streaming ≈ 11.8 million U.S.-based streams
- Sales ≈ 5,500 digital downloads
- Radio airplay ≈ 800 audience impressions
The #32 entry not only marks her 16th overall top 40 smash but also shines as the highest-charting solo hit she’s had since ‘Plan B‘ peaked at #29 on the hitlist.
Faring even better on the Urban side of Billboard, ‘Cobra’ slithered to #1 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales and Rap Digital Song Sales lists respectively.
Thanks to its commercial performance on those tallies, the Bankroll Got It-produced song entered the all-genre chart as the highest debut among all female-led songs. The only new songs to premiere higher were Jung Kook‘s ‘Standing Next To You’ (#5) and ‘Now and Then’ by The Beatles (#7).

Your thoughts?
It’s gonna fall off the charts next week, which sucks bc the song is IT!
An indie single did that? Great song, Megan deserves it so much 👏🏻
This is dope for her since it’s left field sonically and no catchy radio hook to sing along to…congrats to Megan.
If she had radio support it would’ve been a top 15 hit because 11m streams is good plus the sales. The reason y ppl sign to labels are for radio deals n promo
This is where it’s not fair. Radio deals and promos shouldn’t be allowed. Buying their way to the top. What a scam
The video is abit slimy with her crawling out a Cobra’s mouth. Like ewwww
Absolutely no ones listening to this crap
Then your dumb ass can’t read or hear
